  • Good color rendition and contrast
I bought this to replace an older camera on a Leica scope. The Leica camera required the use of a massive program that, while useful, was overloading my PC during live video training sessions. I was a little skeptical, since it takes more than a good sensor to get a good image. Inferior drivers or firmware can make it hard to get a good image. But, so far it looks great. I did not need to load any drivers to get this working on my PC with OBS (for use with live training). I have a very nice scope and lighting, so your results may vary. But, the camera is definitely not getting in the way of a good image, IMO. In fact, it's an obvious upgrade over the old Leica camera. I can also run it without any additional software or CPU load. Note that I did have some "rainbow blinking" that others have reported when I first hooked it up. I'm wondering if the USB cable connection was a little loose? If I run into any problems with the camera, I'll report back. I'm going to let it run for a few days to flush out any problems. The example is at minimum magnification on my setup. The flower is about 4mm in diameter. The image remains sharp at max magnification, subject to normal DOF limitations. The focal plane of the camera is matched to the fixed eyepiece of the scope (if it looks sharp through the eyepiece, it will be sharp on camera). ... show more

  • Great 4k via HDMI wow!
!!!!!!_____!!!!!!!_____!!!!!!! VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE !!!!!!_____!!!!!!!_____!!!!!!! October 27, 2022 After working with my monitor company on why I could not get 4k at 60hz, we finally figured out what was happening. It was not the monitor but, the CAMERA. as another review pointed out, misleading. you only get 60hz at 1080p!!! THE IMAGE IS STILL GREAT AT 4K 30HZ since I am using it to view still images, not a huge issue, BUT... HAYEAR... you really need to be more clear on your product description. in a world riddled with incorrect , misleading, or even fraudulent information, HAYEAR, you need to correct this, you have now been put on notice twice with two reviews. How quickly you update your information to clearly address this situation will determine your true motives, and if you will be allowed to continue to advertise this product on AMAZON, which strives for complete transparency, honesty, quality, and correct listing of products. As per the agreement you entered in with AMAZON. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Good Microscope camera and very affordable. Amazing HDMI 4K BUT ONLY AT 30HZ image with on screen menus to control all aspects of your image. USB via windows 10 not bad, need to download another software package from the manufactures web site that is free and better. also works with 3rd party software that supports USB camera input. ... show more

  • Great camera: Works very well
The camera works amazingly well. I use it through HDMI, on a big 77in TV screen. I found a new hobby this way, and have now invested quite a bit in lenses, lights and stands. The camera had some dust, which I just cleaned with the Micro Four Thirds sensor cleaning kit. The SONY 1/2.3 sensor is the same used in their very successful first Cybershot cameras. I have now a pedal switch, and when I take a break from computer work, I press it and turn on the microscope lights and camera and switch the big TV to the camera. The equipment sold with the camera takes some work, the depth of field is not great, and I had to use an extra 3000 lumens flashlight at max magnification. But the company has much better optics, lights and mechanics for sale, and I have ordered those. I append some details of the obverse of the $10 bill. The statue in front of the US Treasury is Hamilton's, and his head is about 1mm across... ... show more

  • This 2nd 4K camera has Firmware problem won't turn off
The first 4K camera works fine to date! BUT the second identical 4K I purchased has a FIRMWARE problem, camera turns on as soon as you plug power into jack, and when trying to power down by pressing on/off button and holding down for 3 seconds, it just loops through a power down / power on routine the ONLY WAY TO POWER DOWN IS TO PULL THE POWER CORD and when contacting the company who created this model all you get is a treatment of you don't know anything, as if their taking to a child! The fact is I don't believe who ever was answering my questions does not understand their own product. It's very irritating that this product does not power down and this is my 3rd 4K camera because I sent one back already, so far two have this same power problem I could live with it for a refund of $100.00 off the camera. ... show more

  • Product says 4k 60FPS but it's only 30FPS and other issues read below
I won't write a long review but on the top of the product it says "4k 3840x 2160 60FPS". That is simply not true. It is 30FPS. If you want 60FPS it is 1080p and only 4:3 Format, NOT 16:9 format which is the most common and misleading. The quality is very good, but the product is misleading, you can also see the conflicting information on the description and customer questions. ... show more

  • This is a very good 4K camera
So far i am impressed with the camera and features. I would have given it 5 stars, but it does not have a screw mount for standard tripod attachments. This camera is meant to be mounted via it's lens neck.

  • Good.
Its great, but for an optic microscope (biology) it can't focus on 4X, only 20X and above.

  • No more working after a year and a half
Actually, it has worked very well for almost a year and a half, it does what it says it is, but a few days ago it suddenly stopped transmitting an image to the connected monitor and when I tried it again, I only see streaks and a distorted image and seconds later already I can't see anything, I can't contact any technical support, ... show more
