I purchased a size XL Hax Obsidian Series Matte Black & Gold full face helmet directly from Hax via Amazon. It arrived quickly & in perfect packaging. First of all it is stunning in appearance, an absolutely beautiful helmet that matches my black & gold motorcycle perfectly. The gold fin arrives off helmet, but snaps in easily. There is gold paint under the fin, so it looks good without it as well. The fit is perfect. It is snug, but soft. Slightly above average for wind sound. Easy to use quick-release strap. Box also includes a soft bag for storage or transport & can be used to dry buff the helmet & visor(s) without scratching as well. Helmet comes with a high quality mirrored & tinted outer visor that has like 4 or 5 positions to vent, plus a smaller goggle-like tinted visor that drops down when you push a tab on the outside... good for use in the day if you want to get some air with the outside visor open, but it is redundant if the visor is shut as it is too dark. But I just bought a clear outside visor from Hax to switch out for when I ride at night so the inside goggle visor will be nice when I'm too lazy to switch back. There are several vents that open\close. One in the front for your mouth\nose. Two on the top sides. All are mostly effective for cooling but I do get a tad bit of fogging every so often if I'm breathing heavily... clears right up with a quick visor release though. Inside padding is firm but soft & has all of the features you would expect. It is removeable if that's your thing. I just use a shot of Febreeze & it stays fresh as new. You get loads of style, but also quality construction & tons of features for a very reasonable cost, so I would recommend this helmet for any rider.

I tried another helmet before getting this one. The previous one fit way too small and didn't breathe well, causing the face mask to fog up. Not to mention the sun shade was inoperable when I opened the box. I sent that one back and got this one. This helmet fits just right. It is snug enough that it doesn't wobble around on your head, but still loose enough that it isn't mashing your face in. The helmet breathes much better and I can see clearly without the fogged up visor. The sun shade visor flips down and sits in the perfect location. Some of them only cover half of your field of vision causing issues with visibility. This one works perfectly. Even in the Texas heat it rides well. There is a piece of fabric/padding that goes underneath your chin to help close off that area from wind, but I may end up modifying that to allow for an easier time putting the helmet on. The buckle is great. It's a quick release so you aren't fighting two D rings to get your chin strap woven through it correctly. Just set your chin strap length and be done. Pull the red tab when you need to take off your helmet and it releases the chin strap easily. I wasn't sure when I ordered it, but the color is almost a perfect match for my bike, too. That's just an added bonus for me. This helmet is a great value for the quality and features you get. It is comfortable enough that i have no doubt I will be able to wear it for hours without issue. The helmet does have the bluetooth cutouts underneath the padding next to the ears so you can run your bluetooth speakers if you want. For now I don't plan on running any, but it's nice to have that option should I chose to in the future.

Very nice helmet with great quality and looks. The double visor is really nice and has a easy off / on neck strap release. The padding inside is very comfortable. The design is definitely a head turner. I have a somewhat large head and ordered the XXl. It's a little snug but comfortable. I would recommend ordering one size up.

So by reading other reviews I figured out these run about one full size smaller than listed. That worked out perfect for me because I have a head that needs something at the larger end of large, and at the smaller end of XL. So I got a perfect fit and the helmet looks awesome. Pictures are not as vivid as it is in person. There are color schemes to match just about any bike. The protection it offers -- as rated by others here -- seems excellent as well if ever needed. It shipped and arrived pretty fast also. Overall, I feel like this might have been one of my best purchases ever on Amazon. It has a flip down visor, and a button ypu can slide to lower the built in goggles which can be operated independently. No clear visor is included unfortunately so that's a bit of a nuisance to be fair. I'll dock it a star for that. It has good vents that are easily operated. It does fog quickly if vents are shut. But overall, I say it is a good helmet and worth $50.

I gotta say I like the helmet. Tints a little dark on the visor but great in day time. Fits very well, seems well built, good noise dampening. My old helmet had way more wind noise. Took 5 minutes to swap my Bluetooth system into the helmet. For the money it's a good bang for your buck! The lining/padding is legit.

It's lightweight, it feels solid, the padding is super comfy after breaking it in, and my gawd, it is one really good looking helmet. Enough of a noise filter to let you hear what's going on around you, but also enough to where you aren't gonna go deaf. Bluetooth ready, the spacing around the ears for sound pads is slim, but not skull crushing. Quick latch release chin strap is a nice touch. By far, the best helmet I've ever bought. The obsidian has such a clean, classy look.
