I purchased a size XL Hax Obsidian Series Matte Black & Gold full face helmet directly from Hax via Amazon. It arrived quickly & in perfect packaging. First of all it is stunning in appearance, an absolutely beautiful helmet that matches my black & gold motorcycle perfectly. The gold fin arrives off helmet, but snaps in easily. There is gold paint under the fin, so it looks good without it as well. The fit is perfect. It is snug, but soft. Slightly above average for wind sound. Easy to use quick-release strap. Box also includes a soft bag for storage or transport & can be used to dry buff the helmet & visor(s) without scratching as well. Helmet comes with a high quality mirrored & tinted outer visor that has like 4 or 5 positions to vent, plus a smaller goggle-like tinted visor that drops down when you push a tab on the outside... good for use in the day if you want to get some air with the outside visor open, but it is redundant if the visor is shut as it is too dark. But I just bought a clear outside visor from Hax to switch out for when I ride at night so the inside goggle visor will be nice when I'm too lazy to switch back. There are several vents that open\close. One in the front for your mouth\nose. Two on the top sides. All are mostly effective for cooling but I do get a tad bit of fogging every so often if I'm breathing heavily... clears right up with a quick visor release though. Inside padding is firm but soft & has all of the features you would expect. It is removeable if that's your thing. I just use a shot of Febreeze & it stays fresh as new. You get loads of style, but also quality construction & tons of features for a very reasonable cost, so I would recommend this helmet for any rider. ... show more

I have a small head so I was worried that this would be too big (or that I somehow measured wrong and it would be too small). It's not! It fits snugly on my head, doesn't squeeze my ears or my forehead. The mirrored visor looks great, and the sunglasses flip down visor is very helpful for when it's stuffy inside the helmet but you still want eye protection. I didn't realize there is a lever on the side of the helmet for the sunglasses visor for a while, but once i found it, it's really fun to pop up and down. My roommate says I look bada**. Luckily haven't had to test its protective abilities, but it feels very sturdy. It fogs a little inside when the visor is down. ... show more

Beautiful, quality helmet for a steal of a price. This was actually the 3rd one I’ve ordered. I also have the aqua and the blue dragon for my wife. All of them look amazing in person. Well put together with lots of cushioning. Because of the cushioning I’d say be careful with your sizing, probably safe to even order a size up. Lightweight and colors are just like pictured. Quality padding and quick release chin strap. Snug fit but I read tons of reviews before buying and saw that I just need to wear it to get the padding to lose up. Happy rider.

The media could not be loaded. I've had many helmets like shoei and Arai and those are super great helmets, but they are wayyy up in price for it..while the hax obsidian provides soo much of the same qualities in a much cheaper helmet. This purchase Is a no Brainerd. Stop hesitating amd feeding the comments ..as I can't talk about this helmet enough. The colors are rich and and the quality is high. As long as you measure your head prior..you will get a true to size fit that makes you feel like a badazz. Fog dissipates fast from the visor and the shades inside don't seem to fog at all. The breathability of this helmet is in comparison with the more expensive brands I've used. Rain looks great on the matte finish as well.. will be buying all helmets in the future from this company.
