I ordered .5 up for more width for socks and might not have needed to. Very nice boot. First-these are not dainty, they fit like a cowboy boot and are big on your feet. Not in a ugly way, but not small and classy. The generous sizing is comfortable for real life but they are still dressy. These have great squishy tread on the bottom that you can count on in ice and snow, and seem to be waterproof. Very comfortable even for my problem feet. The top of ankle is a bit tight, but mine are loosening up already from wearing them. Maybe the .5 sizing up helped in this area.

These are cute and stylish, pretty comfy. My feet are a little wider than the shoe but I can still wear these for a few hours without any pain. The only negative is they make a weird 'squeak' or 'sigh' or some sort of noise when walking which gets irritating. Good value though, water resistant, and works with leggings, dresses, or pants.

The boots are cute and look very nice but they are way too tight. I looked at the dimensions and after measuring the opening to the boot it was an inch smaller than stated in description. It is disappointing because if it was as stated they would have fit perfectly. The shoe area was tight but I was able to deal with that. Since I wear leggings i like tucking my pants into the boots but there is no room to even get them zipped. I normally wear an 8 shoe but I always have to get a 9 in boots. I might try a half size up to see if that would help but I think the shoe area will be too big since the 9 already gives me enough room. The reason for the 3 stars is because the description was not accurate to what the measurements of the boot actually are.
