I have osteoarthritis. It's hard for me to hold a heavy cup. The handle on this cup lets me hold the cup without using my fingers - just slip my palm into the handle. Meanwhile, the open bottom of the handle lets me hook the cup onto my belt as I walk. When latched, no leakage from the lid. Keeps coffee hot for several hours. I haven't used it for cold, but I imagine it would work just as well. Drinking spout large enough to use with a straw. Lid only screws on one way - good for right handed people, not for left handed people. I've seen reviews that the lid doesn't line up well - you must have the drinking spout open when you close the screw on the lid - otherwise, the excellent leakproofness holds in air and keeps the lid from screwing on all the way. Excellent cup.

Starting with the positive: the mug appeared to be substantial, sturdy, and very well-made. The handle was a great size which made it very comfortable to hold. I was very impressed with it initially upon receipt. However, as I unscrewed the top to wash the mug, I realized that every time I screwed the top back on, the opening out of which you are to drink ended up over the handle, which would make it very awkward. All of my previous thermal mugs and even all of the pictures shown online show the lid with the opening to the side, which makes it much more practical in order to drink from it without necessitating all sorts of distortions. I will be returning this mug. I am very disappointed because the dimensions of this mug were perfect, and its overall construction was very impressive. I do intend to order out another mug in the hopes that this was a defective item, which, hopefully, will not be the case with the reorder. At this point, I would give this mug 3 stars. An update to this review: As previously stated, I did reorder the mug and just received it today, and, much to my delight, the lid, once fully tightened, ends up exactly where it should for drinking purposes -- off to the side of the handle. I am so pleased that I took a chance on reordering in the hopes that this issue would not exist the second time around. Now, I am a very pleased customer. Months later, and I'm still thrilled with this purchase. Whenever I took my car in for servicing, I would always take my small thermos filled with coffee. The thermos never kept my coffee hot, but warm coffee is always better than no coffee. Well, I just checked and discovered that this mug actually holds more than my small thermos and also keeps my coffee hotter for a much longer period of time than my small thermos ever did. Another positive is that the lid is leak-proof so this mug can be taken anywhere, and it eliminates the need to go through numerous steps in order to enjoy a cup of coffee. With the thermos, I had to remove the cup from the thermos, then unscrew the inner cap, pour coffee from the thermos into the cup and then reverse all of the steps to close up the thermos -- all of which requires so many components where the mug requires lifting the tab and drinking. I love, love, love this insulated mug. It goes with me everywhere.

To start, this travel mug stays warm all day long if need be. The size is perfect for both coffee or tea! The handle is solid and will not fall off since it's molded into the rest of the mug and not held on by screws or some sort of glue. The base is solid and haven't had an issue with being top heavy and wanting to tip over like others. The base also does not have rubber on the bottom, so it slides easily across the desk when I'm trying to move it out of the way. If you have a tilted surface this may not be the mug for you. I have closed the locking lid and knocked it over a few times and have not experienced any leaking from the mug. The price was not exuberant and is will within the cost of similar other mugs. I only gave it 4 stars though because I'm a lefty and for some reason this is the first mug I have ever used where no matter what you do, you cannot get the lid screwed on so you can hold the mug with your left hand and drink from it as the sipping hole is on the wrong side of the mug. This is strictly a right handed mug otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars. Other mugs I have owned the thread was double set so you could screw on the lid for either left or right hand use.

This is my second one I have purchased for my husband. He loves them! He still has the one I bought him 2 yrs ago that is still in perfect shape and he literally drops it constantly. It is completely leak proof even rolling through the parking lot. Keeps drinks hot for a long time. He owns many coffee mugs and this one is his favorite. Said he will never buy another brand.
