  • “Your chariot has arrived, Sir.”
THIS IS A BIGA** WAGON: As other reviewers mentioned, get ready to be stopped, gawked at, drooled on, and in our case (jokingly) ridiculed by the size and luxurious appearance of this wagon. For reference, this fits sideways in the back of my 2016 Ford Escape (without the seats down), but with little room for much else unless it’s getting stacked inside the wagon. BOUGHT IT FOR THE SAND: I bought this so we’d have an easier time getting stuff to and from my husband’s beach soccer games since we usually have a bit of a walk and so much more stuff to carry now that we have a baby. Our first time on the beach with this it gave me a little bit of trouble, but the path I decided to take was steep and had VERY loose and hot sand. (Walking through it without pulling a wagon would be difficult.) When we rolled up to my husband’s beach soccer team with this, it was immediately dubbed “The Chariot”. My 10-month of course was loving all the attention he was getting! Side note...it’s not entirely obvious from the manufacturer’s pictures, but the sunshade can move forward and backward so you can focus the shade based on where it’s needed most. GETTING THROUGH DOORWAYS: We set this up in our house and it was a tight squeeze through one of our old home’s doorways, but we had ample clearance when rolling this out the front door. ADDRESSING THE LACK OF A HARNESS: Since our little one is still so tiny, we wanted him to have a chance to explore his new set of wheels before taking him to the beach. After watching him explore the wagon while we were still at home, I felt the need to harness this little guy in. (It may just be the first-time paranoid Momma in me, but if you look at the pictures he can barely see over the side of this thing when he’s sitting down.) Now...my husband rolled his eyes when he saw my solution for “installing” a harness, but I thought it was rather brilliant and it didn’t cost me anything to do it. This is going to seem off topic, but bear with me. Our high chair is a Graco® Table2Table™ 7-in-1 Convertible High Chair (I included a side-by-side picture of the full high chair and the seat taken off to be used independently). I strapped the seat of the high chair into the wagon by feeding the high chair’s included straps through spots between the wagon’s canvas sides and the bottom of the wagon (the canvas snaps on in various places so it was super easy to just unsnap a section to feed the straps through.) I clicked the straps together (making sure it was out of the way of the rear wheels/axel), pulled to tighten the seat down, and tied the excess straps so they wouldn’t drag on the ground. And voila, I managed to boost him up so he could see better and I feel at ease knowing I can use the high chair’s harness to keep my little explorer from trying to stand up while the wagon’s moving. THIS WAGON’S A TANK: Many reviewers mentioned the wagon tended to rattle on sidewalks. We didn’t have this issue and in fact this wagon proved to be a much smoother ride compared to our stroller that has shock absorbing wheels. The reason...the wheels of this wagon are big enough to drive right over most of the potholes and bumps of our city’s sidewalks. Our stroller often gets caught up in these small imperfections because the narrow wheels have a tendency to go right into the holes. BOTTOM LINE: This wagon is a beast, but it easily fits all our beach stuff, my husband’s soccer stuff, and my son (in his makeshift harness). FYI...I’ll update my post later this week with more pictures of what the wagon looks like with all our beach stuff in it (including a method for securely attaching bigger items to the OUTSIDE of the wagon). In case you’re wondering, I was not paid to write this review nor did I receive ANY incentive for boasting about how much I love my Hauck Eco Wagon or my Graco® Table2Table™ 7-in-1 Convertible High Chair. I truly plan to get YEARS of use out of this wagon (and high chair LOL). If you any questions about the wagon, how I attached the high chair seat, or need/want more pictures, just let me know in the comments. I hope this review helps! ... show more

  • Effortless pull with a lightweight wagon
The Hauck Eco Wagon is extremely light and easy to pull. It has a comfortable handle and even 2+ mile walks with a pint-sized passenger are a breeze. Assembly of the Hauck Eco Wagon was quick and easy, with only minor difficulty assembling the weather shade. The Hauck Eco Wagon is foldable and can be placed in a standard size trunk. The wheels are big, making turning in tight spaces difficult, but also making the ride smooth for the person pulling and the potential passengers riding. There is a pad in the bottom of the wagon that makes a more comfortable seat for a passenger and also provides some back support. The pad is pretty minimal, but it is removable and allows for lots of cargo to be carried - even awkwardly sized cargo. The Hauck Eco Wagon has a hand brake that pretty much needs to be used when stationary, otherwise the lightweight wagon will continue to roll. Pros: Smooth ride. Lightweight. Comfortable handle. Easy to fold and fit into a standard size trunk. Lots of interior space to carry cargo. Cons: No cupholders, minimal seatbacks for kids, the wagon needs to be put in brake mode so it doesn't keep rolling after you stop pulling. I had to run along side a 3 year old that was pulling it because otherwise the wagon would have run into/over him after the child stopped running. I also have the Radio Flyer Ultimate Comfort Wagon and comparing the two wagons, the Hauck Eco Wagon doesn't have the extra amenities that the Radio Flyer Ultimate Comfort Wagon has. It has no cupholders, no seat belts, no closable bag that hangs off the wagon. If the goal is to use a wagon only to walk around your neighborhood or to parks with small children you would be better off purchasing the Radio Flyer Ultimate Comfort Wagon. However, if you need a more versatile wagon, this Hauck Eco Wagon is far superior to the Radio Flyer Ultimate Comfort Wagon. The Radio Flyer cannot be folded and barely fits in my mid-size SUV trunk, taking up most of the available space, while the Hauck Eco Wagon can fit into a standard sized car trunk. The Hauck Eco Wagon allows you to fit much bigger and awkwardly sized items because it has such minimal seating/extra bells and whistles. Additionally, the Hauck has wider wheels that produce a smoother roll (see photo). In conclusion, the Hauck Eco Wagon is a great wagon to take on any type of trip, to carry large items and to use minimal effort to walk long distances. Although I recommend the Radio Flyer Wagon for buyers looking only to use it for smaller children, I think the Hauck Eco Wagon can fulfill both purposes, especially when the children are over 2 years old. Overall, I think the Hauck Eco Wagon is a great purchase and would recommend it to anyone who needs a long-lasting, versatile wagon. ... show more

  • Wonderful wagon, customer service lacking
I purchased this wagon after doing much research online and on YouTube. I get compliments everywhere we go, and the wagon is really a conversation starter. Is roomy enough for my five-year-old and a friend. My only issue is that the pull bar came scratched up and damaged and even after contacting the company three different times by email and on the Hauck website, no one has responded to me. For this price I should not have a scratched up item out of the box. ... show more
