Ordered this game for Christmas. On Christmas day we tried to play it but the electronic part didn't work. I returned it for a replacement. We got the replacement quickly and have played it several times. We took it out to play again but the electronic part stopped working. We got this replacement on Dec 29 so after less than 4 months and only playing it a few times it is broken. ... show more

My kids love this game. I bought it because it was my favorite game as a kid. Yes things are a bit different but it's mostly the same. Some things you may be interested to know: In order to start the game you need to press the "celebration button" which is NOT the center "enter" button. It's on the side and looks like a 🎉. Some of the store sign cards can fall out when packing up the game so I hot glued all the store pieces into the purple holders. The lid doesn't close completely but good enough to still store away neatly. The walk ways are flimsy and if they are bent at all it can make playing a bit more difficult as the players sometimes fall over. Try to keep them flat when packing up the game. It took us a few minutes to figure out which side was the "ATM" and which side is the "cashier". Not a huge problem though. If you are looking at the "? Button" the ATM is on the right. There are 4 players (2 females, 1 male and 1 non specified). They each have names and come with a bio but they are only referred to by their color during game play. You can play with 2,3 or 4 players. Overall, I recommend. This is the most fun my family has had playing a board game in a long time! ... show more

Very fun game! Just like the one I played when I was younger but had some great updates. Took a few minutes for set up but everything is labeled well and it was very easy to know where to put all the signs, etc. It’s so exciting to feel like you’re shopping but you don’t really spend a dime lol! My 11year old loved it. The middle piece that you use to give instructions on who gets to move, etc is very clear and even has a ? Button to repeat if you miss what it says so I like that feature. We got a little confused bc there are two spots to put your credit card...one is for the atm and the other is paying at a store. Read the instructions!! Very fun game that everyone can play! Also it can teach the value of money as you have to look at the cash you have and weigh if you have enough or do you want to wait and save it for a sale! ... show more

I bought this game because it was so nostalgic of when I was a kid. I’m sure it is upgraded but it is so much like I remember it. My girlfriend and I played it with our two kids and we had a pretty hard time getting going. The directions were not clear on many things. A good example is the food tokens in the game. It doesn’t really tell you what to do with them. It does say that if you meet a friend at the movies then you collect one but it doesn’t say how to use them or when. There are other things it doesn’t specify. One of them was “send a friend to the movies” and “meet a friend at the food court”. We’re we supposed to collect tokens then? If so, what were we supposed to do with them? We decided to just leave them out because they seemed pointless. An issue I have with the scorecards is that after only one game, there is signs of damage from the kids placing the little plastic markers on the edges because they are such a tight fit. Another couple of games and I’m afraid the scorecards will be fairly damaged and the markers won’t fit on. Setting aside those downfalls, we had a lot of fun playing and my daughter absolutely loved the game. It was nice that the game would repeat if you needed it to as well. I bought this game for my 7 year old, soon to be super shopper, daughter, and this has become a destination game in our household. With a max of 4 players, this game is a joy for the entire family. The rules are simple: Listen to the mall intercom for where the hot deals are, shop til you drop, and make it out of the mall with full bags before anyone else. There is just enough randomness in the automated game running hub to make sure that each game will be different from the last and when it's all said and done, this 25 minute game will leave everyone smiling. The game setup is a little daunting at first, but nothing to the level of Mouse Trap, and after the first time, it's simple enough for the younger ones to do. I had this game growing up and it was fun to play so I got it for my daughter so we could play…. I forgot it was so many pieces to set up but once it’s done the first time it so much better to play great design and a good paced game for a family game night and great size and no missing pieces
