Bought this for a good friend's daughter who loves HP! She was so excited and couldn't wait for December 1st to start opening! She is 11 years old. She wants to keep it out after she opened everything for the rest of the year!

We're die-hard HP fans, so having this open each day was such a treat. Only 4/5 stars because about half of the daily items were very cheap, otherwise it is a great addition to your holidays.

It's hard to get my 10 year old excited for something. Most advent calendars are cheesy to him. He was really excited to get this and so far has loved everyday he has opened so far. It's made well and is not flimsy.

I really wanted to love this. Really. It would be unfair of me to say it isn’t a great little advent, because it is. It simply didn’t work for what I had intended. Perhaps I didn’t read the description well enough; or, perhaps, I did but it wasn’t described as fully as I feel it should have. First, there was a pouch/envelope that was already ripped open, so the piece inside came tumbling out upon opening it. Several other envelopes had significant openings/tears where the crease at the bottom or top are—exact same issues and in the same spots as another calendar I ordered and received (different theme). To be fair, that wasn’t a huge deal. Unfortunate, yes. Worth complaining and returning, not at all (for me, at least). I will say that the shipping was on time, which was a positive. I believe it may have even came a day early! That’s always nice. My biggest problem was with what was inside each calendar day. The items were not what I expected. The way I read the description was that it was filled with all sorts of fun items, like a keychain, ornaments and so on. This part is true; however, those items listed were about all there was outside of printed paper items. And by “ornaments”, it means only one hard ornament. The rest are just paper. There was one of each actual “usable” item in the calendar, totaling only a small handful. The rest were all things that were paper print-offs with string to categorize them all as ornaments (I assume). This made the calendar uneventful and unexciting, less than halfway through the calendar days. I will say that this advent is great for an adult/young adult HP fanatic. It is not for kids under the age of 10-12. They will likely be disappointed more often than not. ... show more

I’m a little sad that #14 was empty! I’m loving the whole thing and am very excited to open one every day - I was quite disappointed to see one day was empty. 😞. It is fabulous though besides that!
