  • Bright and a cheerful Coloring Book
Format: Paperback
Absolutely beautiful coloring book. Each coloring picture has a full color version as well, almost like a book. Then there is a blank page for you to color. It will be entertaining for the long winter months

  • Beautiful Disney Coloring Book, Great Gift
Format: Paperback
Got this as a gift for Christmas at work and a friend really wanted it as well so I bought it for her last year. It is such a beautiful coloring book and would recommend for any Disney lover. It's almost too beautiful to use but I love that it gives you both colored and noncolored pages.

  • 63 Beautiful Coloring Designs based on the Disney artwork of Thomas Kinkade (includes color photos as well)
Format: Paperback
The media could not be loaded. Attached to this review will be my silent video which will show all of the pages of the coloring book, both the designs and the photos. I will also upload a few pages in photos to show how the book is put together. I own and really like both of the prior Kinkade coloring books but this one has to be my favorite. I am a fan both of his artwork and of Disney in general, so this book combines two of my favorites things. On top of that, I really like the way that illustrators interpreted the designs in this coloring book. Where the first two books had very sketch-like designs, in this book, much of the design is done is straight-forward line drawing. It will be much easier to color because of it. I find that I like the drawings in this book much more than the most recent Disney coloring books. Many of my favorite classic movies are included and there are also many of the newer sequel film characters included as well. The first thing I did after looking through this book was to go back on-line and order more copies to give away as gifts this holiday season. I know that they will be a big hit among my family and friends. This is the third Thomas Kinkade coloring book in this series and the first one to feature his Disney artwork. The books are published by Posh and follow the same format. The size of the book is the same as is the texture of the paper. The paper in this book is soft white. The designs are printed on the right hand side of with the color photo of the actual painting on the left hand side (i.e., opposite each other in the book.) This will allow me to look at the photo of the real painting while I am coloring my own. Certain coloring medium will bleed through and can ruin the colored designs (see below.) I purchased a second copy to keep the photos pristine as I work with alcohol-based markers most of the time. Here is what I experienced while coloring in this book and testing the paper with my medium: 63 Thomas Kinkade Disney designs with 63 color photos as well Designs printed on one side of the page with a photo on the back of the page. Paper is soft white, very slightly rough, non-perforated and medium weight. Designs stop before the binding area but unfinished elements are left on all four sides of the design which does not have a framing line. Glue Bound Pages can be cut out without loss of designs. I don't plan to do so as I want to keep the continuity of the colored picture and design together. Alcohol-based markers bleed through the paper. Water-based markers leave shadows of color (with some spotting through) on the back of the page except for the brush end of dual-end Tombow markers which did not leak through. India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the page. Gel pens do not bleed through. Colored pencils work well with this paper. I tested both oil and wax based pencils and was able to get good results from both. I got good pigment (especially with multiple layers of the same color.) I was able to layer different colors and to blend easily using a blending stick. If you decide to use markers, you will probably have some amount of bleed-through onto the back of the page. I recommend using a heavyweight sheet of paper or card stock below your working page. That will keep ink from damaging the next design below. ... show more

  • Incredible Disney coloring book! 🖍️
Format: Paperback
This Disney coloring book is so beautiful! I love that this is the first book of a collection. When I get finished with this one, I will order the next one in this collection. I love how each coloring page has the color printed painting by the one and only Thomas Kinkaid! He is an amazing artist and I've always loved his paintings! This is one coloring book that rises above others! I love having the colored painting on the left so I can color the picture just like his .or try to at least. This is the first time I've seen a coloring page have a printed copy beside of it. It makes it challenging to color it the exact same. Like honestly, I truly love this coloring book! I wouldn't rate this as a children's coloring book. It's mainly for teens and adults. The details are amazing! Thomas Kinkaid is legendary and I'm excited that I have one of his Disney coloring books! If you're a fan of Disney characters and Thomas Kinkaid, this coloring book is something I highly recommend buying! I started on it last night and I'm so excited to color each page! It's an incredible coloring book! ... show more

  • great but some of the lines are awkward
Format: Paperback
I loved this book. i’m learning shading & blending so this is the perfect book for someone who is tired of super basic coloring books. I only have a few tiny issues with the book. 1. I wish they used different paper cause the smell of this book is awful. but that doesn’t affect the quality of the coloring. 2. I wish the pages were perforated. i’ve had to completely break the spine of the book to pull the pages out so I can color them since I dislike holding the book while i’m coloring since that leaves a chance for you to accidentally smudge or scratch or harm the other pages. this book has way too many pages for one person to finish, so it would make sense to make the pages perforated to share them and hang them. 3 - I wish the reference pages were blank on the back. I tore out a page for a friend to color, and now I no longer have the reference page anymore. plus, it’d be nice to hang them side by side or even to just hang the reference pages. no big deal though. 4 - my BIGGEST issue (and the only issue that affects my review. if it weren’t for this, the book would have 5 stars). the awkward harsh lines. see other reviews for what I mean. some people posted photos too. for instance, the stardust in the cinderella page and the peter pan page are just harsh, straight lines, but in the reference photo, they are beautiful, translucent colors. there’s also a rainbow on one page that has super harsh lines, but in the reference photo, the colors are beautifully blended. obviously this book won’t be exactly like the paintings, but there are at least 10 pages that have spots that shouldn’t be so harshly lined. again, this isn’t that big of a deal because the rest of the book is so beautiful. I really do love this book otherwise. it’s smaller but thicker than I imagined. this book will last a very long time. oh one more thing. I almost bought the poster version of this book because it has a pocahontas page, and you rarely see her in merchandise at all. sadly, there was no pocahontas in this book. I don’t think it was necessary to do as many scenes from certain movies. for instance, there are so many snow white & little mermaid pages. I wish there was more variety in that aspect. but there are also rare scenes too, like ones from dumbo & lady and the tramp, two movies you don’t often see in coloring books ... show more
