  • Fantastic product
Product worked as advertised. Quick and easy. I was able to do the job myself. Saved thousands!!

  • Works very well
I’ve installed hundreds and repaired hundreds of AC systems using braze rods. I bought this to see the hype and have installed a few systems now and I’m completely satisfied with this product. The new refrigerants are a higher pressure than the old systems, but this works very well, especially if you suck at brazing and you would rather solder. Be sure to clean everything very well. I didn’t run nitrogen through as I watched a lot of videos where they didn’t, so I tested solder on my workbench and if you take your time, it doesn’t leave particle or flux residue inside. So be careful with fluxing. ... show more

  • Good stuff for HVAC work. But make sure the swaged ends are snug
Great flux and solder. I used it to install a new central split and had no leaks during a 500psi pressure test & 300 micron vacuum for 1 hour. One thing I had to do was cut off one of the swaged ends and expand it myself. The bell was just a tad loose and the StaBrite didn't want to fill it. I made a new bell that was a tight fit and the joint looked much better. It was probably ok, but I didn't want to risk having to do it again when it was inconvenient. This is good stuff and I highly recommend it. Adhere to good practices (scuff, tight fit, and don't overheat) and it works great for HVAC work. Easier than brazing and I trust having the larger bonding surface of solder more than the narrow bonding surface of brazing. ... show more

  • Good quality
Works great for soldering refrigerant lines but only the small ones it’s hard and sometimes impossible to seal a 3/8 line but for the 3/4 lines works fantastic

  • Very sufficient in place of brazing.
I was moving my 5 ton air handler with A-coil from horizontal to vertical and had to make 6 solder connections which I haven't done in over 50 years and some people think only brazing is sufficient, but brazing wasn't even used back then, anyway all went well and everything is working fine. My only complaint is 4 out of my last 5 Amazon orders have not arrived on time. I hope this won't become a normal thing. ... show more
