I found the clamp to be so tight I was afraid to squeeze my Blue East Top into it for fear of crushing it. It does have a soft rubber strip that easily slips onto the clamp, to prevent scratches but it keeps wanting to slide of so I can see losing a some day. I will probably just wrap some tape on it to hold it in place. Now for the biggy... i have a 23.5 inch neck. So I had to do a little bit of modification to the frame but I got where I needed it. I'm a guitar player and wanted a harp holder for just a couple of songs where I needed to play harp. Didn't want to spend a lot. This fits the bill. If I was a serious player I'd get something a bit more sturdy, but this works just fine. I bent the upper rods a bit so that the harp rest lower. The springs hold the harp securely and the whole contraption stays put while I play. I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

I hate to give a bad review to this product - it isn’t a terrible item, but it just didn’t work for me. The problem I had is the Wingnuts on the mount can’t tighten enough to keep the harmonica from slipping away from me when I apply the least bit of pressure on it. If I was playing guitar on a gig and trying to play harmonica too this device would quickly drive me nuts. I actually use this as a hands free cell phone holder when I'm talking and for that it works great!:) however, I play harmonica too, and it's not really that good for that purpose because it doesn't hold its position well enough:)
