I was fantasizing about the idea of lugging just one rake out there this fall. Well, that’s not going to be happening because the widest adjustment is not going to get the big job done. However, I do love this rake because all I could find to get into a small spaces where leaves cuddle were pretty much kid rakes. I have a lot of those difficult spots around my deck, hot tub, and shed as well as my garden. The one I have now is probably from my kids’ childhood and is pretty ratty looking so this is a huge upgrade. I feel like it is substantial and well-made. As for adjusting, I had difficulty at first figuring out how to move the adjustment collar. I learned you have to wiggle the tube back-and-forth a bit to disengage it and loosen it, so it can slide up, especially the first time. The disappointing aspect, as I said was the maximum width of the tines, and I feel that those measurements should be included in the ad for this rake. FYI, the closed/minimum width is 7.5 inches and the maximum width is 13 inches. If you are looking for a rake with a small profile for garden beds and tight spots, this is a quality metal rake to last you years.

I have an adjustable rake that I already love and figured this would be similar. It is not. This is not a good adjustable rake. Two major problems: 1) the tines do not extend and retract easily – the whole thing is bent out of shape 2) the rake only goes from 8” to about 12” wide – you only get an extra 4” for all the trouble! I also don't like that the tines are so stiff, but that's more of a personal preference. Alternatively, I would highly recommend this adjustable rake . I've owned that exact rake for a couple of years and I love it. I spend a lot of time working in my yard and it has been more useful than first impressions lend. And it opens up to about 24” wide – twice the width as this one!

This looked like a helpful addition to my gardening shed. I already have several different sized rakes, but thought this might be convenient. There are several plusses and minuses to this item: Plusses: stiff tines, can easily change the length of the handle, thin tines Minuses: difficult to adjust width of rake, handle does not seem that strong, widest setting is still very narrow and would not be useful for raking a large area Overall, it works but did not wow me.

To be honest, I hate having to pull out a bunch of equipment only to have to put it all away after being worn out from yardwork. This take is nice, it varies easily from wide to narrow - to fit into areas needing clearing. While it isn’t super strong, it gets the job done. Nice also to be able to vary the length of the rake by adding or removing a section. Simple to assemble. Decent price-point..

You can break it down for any storage or transport. The head is adjustable so you can shape it to fit into tight spaces. It is very useful for cleaning up areas where a normal rake can't go. As for value, you can find similar items for about half the price.

This is great for lighter raking, it is light weight aluminum, has adjustable length tubing and is easy to store I thick this may be the best rake I have owned.

My first impression after expending the rake end was that this is way too small to rake a yard with. To make it worse, it sticks in each position. I have to struggle and twist the plastic sleeve to get it to slide open and closed every time. And yes, I unlock the lever first. It feels very cheap overall too.
