Bought this for the lift top feature since I like to eat on my sofa. I wish it came in a larger size but it’s plenty of table space for one person to eat, kind of crowded for two but doable. I was surprised at how nice it looks for the price. It doesn’t feel like super cheap Amazon furniture (although FYI that “concrete” top is just MDF with concrete laminate, hence the price). I like that the table has some weight to it, doesn’t feel like cheap lightweight furniture. Sturdy legs and the lift top mechanism is fairly smooth. It can slam shut somewhat hard though so I put thin little rubber pads to soften the sound. People saying that the parts don’t align or it’s crooked just honestly don’t know how to build furniture that well. It’s not difficult to assemble you just have to do it with some finesse so I can see how someone not very skilled could easily build this coffee table out of alignment. Love the look and functionality of the table. It coincidentally matches our tv stand as well. Assembly was smooth for the most part, but we could not align some of the screws with the pre-drilled holes and we were initially unable to lift/close the storage part of the table. To fix this, we removed the top bar (J in the instructions) and were able to line up the screws without issue. Now we can lift and close the table smoothly. It may not be able to hold as much weight on top after doing this, but we aren’t putting anything heavy on it anyway; it was just irritating not being able to lift/close. ... show more

    • Can't Reverse the Top
Everything is great, so much better than the Welive table that I had to return because it was busted. The 'wood' is extremely solid, and the fabrication and tolerances are done well. It feels like s sturdy well designed table. I especially love the height that it extends to, most other tables extend too low. My only challenge is that the table is not reversible. What I mean is that you can't have the 'marble' on the right hand side with the table top extending towards you. This could be easily engineered to allow such a switch but it isn't. And I only discovered this after putting it together 'wrong' in my preferred orientation. ... show more

    • Probably the best Chinese furniture piece I've assembled.
I needed to buy all new furniture for my apartment and wanted a non-traditional coffee table. I bought this after seeing similar versions for far greater cost from places like Ikea and Overstock. The biggest drawback for me was that I had to assemble it twice. There is an orientation for the section that rises. It's not reversible. That aside, this is likely the best produced piece of Chinese ship-in-a-box furniture I've had to build. Everything was smooth and clean (no splinters or dust), all the holes were drilled correctly (minus the holes inside that weren't supposed to be drilled but would really help out), and everything fits and works like it's suppose to. It's solid, looks more expensive than it is, and didn't need too much swearing to construct. I will say it helped to use proper tools instead of the included, but that's just me. I was waiting for a similar table to come in stock at ikea at $100. Ended up needing 2.5 months estimated for stock so I gave this table a shot and was very pleasantly surprised. The faux marble is a nice touch to accent the seating area. Obviously at this price it’s mdf and laminate but the ikea equivalent would’ve been the same. The construction is sturdy albeit took a bit longer than I’d initially expected (1 hour). Comparing this to the ikea I was shopping. The height is perfect for eating in the upright position when sitting on my couch and also when closed to put my feet up. Overall really impressed with the look and quality for the price and it was in stock and shipped to my door in about a week and a half! Also after I bought this I saw the ikea table increased to the same exact price anyways! ... show more

    • Found my perfect coffee table
Bought this coffee table when it had just two 5-star reviews and cost $100 (after coupon). Now after having used it for over a week I have to give it a solid 5 stars!!! Assembly was easy (~45mins), table is study, love the lift top (and the lock) and not to mention the table looks stunning. Can I just add that west elm sells a slightly bigger but similar looking table for $700. This design and functionality seem really difficult to find at most stores. Even if you find something it will cost $300+. Glad I found this one on page 17 or 18 of Amazon search listing and decided to purchase. ... show more

    • I want to love it - but mine is damaged
The table looks great and like the photos/videos posted. Measurements are accurate, instructions to assemble were great and easy to follow. Feels super sturdy and the lift mechanism is super and I feel like it will hold up over time and repetitive use. The only reason I gave only 3 stars is mine is damaged - the top "marble" piece has the coating peeling off already. Not sure if it got too hot sitting in a delivery van in 116* heat or what - but mine is defunct. Didn't notice till the table was all the way together and I flipped the piece to put it in. Bummer cause it would be beautiful and 5 stars if that piece wasn't destroyed. ... show more
