  • How to Get in the Selling Zone! LOL Funny Stories Too!
One of the things you will notice immediately about David R. Cook is his vibrant enthusiasm and confidence about his topic. He had me loving his book and I wasn't even through reading the "preface"!!! Just wait until you are laughing when you hit page 13! This guy has had some really funny experiences with very famous people. Page 23 had me laughing again. It continued like this throughout the book. This author is a great storyteller. You will enjoy this book from start to finish! This book is like a Master Class for how to be in the selling zone. My husband is a salesman who I've heard talking on the phone for years and the advice in this book does work! I've seen him make sale after sale using this advice. There are some great ideas that are just classic and most salesman use them and then there are some so original you may not have read them anywhere else! I've read a lot of books by salesman and I must say I'm sold on this one! You will learn how to talk to your clients so they actually listen with intense interest and buy from you because you have presented what you are selling in such a way that purchasing becomes one of the best experiences your client has ever had! I know for a fact that when I bought my washer and dryer it was because the woman was a great salesperson. I knew what I wanted but she made it all the more enticing to get what I bought. For years I've enjoyed having what I purchased and I remember her specifically and the good experience I had buying from her.   • Bought 10 copies for my sales team
I bought this book on Kindle because I read that the author, Dave Cook, was a top salesperson at virtually every company he had ever worked at. By the time I was halfway through the book, I could see why. There are great, practical tips in here that virtually anyone can implement. I'm a natural salesperson and it comes easily to me, but I've learned in running my agency that not everyone we hire for our sales team is the same. Some people need practical strategies that they can study, learn, and implement, and this book delivers it. It made me realize that some of the things that come natural to really good salespeople are skills that not everyone is born with but they can certainly develop. And there are also strategies in here that I had never heard even heard of - like referring to the company as "they," so that you and your prospect are on the same side. Genius. I ordered 10 copies for my sales team and handed them out at the last sales meeting - they were literally fighting over who got to read them first. Excellent book! ... show more

  • Good for Basic Sales Motivation
I expected some sales closing strategies and talk of the sales funnel. It was more basic sales 101. I appreciate that and took it as inspiration.

This is the book you wish you had when. As a seasoned sales professional of 20 years and 7 year sales training veteran, new and innovative sales techniques are something for which I am always on the hunt. “How to Increase Your Sales” provides that AND reframes concepts that we know, but tend to complicate.
