We use this to attach to the bottom of the 450' of various types of fences that surround our back yard to keep the rabbits out of the vegetables and flowers. It fills in the gaps between bars on the wrought iron fence, extends the cedar fence to the ground, and its holes are smaller than the ones on the chain link fence. It easily bends at a 90 degree angle to extend about a foot out from the fence to deter digging under the fence. I love the vinyl coating. It appears it will last a long time. The only drawback for me is that the holes are really small; smaller than they need to be to keep even the smallest critter out. So, it takes about 40 snips with a wirecutter to cut off a section. All in all it's a great product at a really good price.

Smooth edges and stiff wire.I liked it. I tried to pull it tight but wire broke with little effort.galvanised may be stronger than plastic coated.

I ordered this hardware cloth to go around my shed. Critters like to dig under my shed and make a home. I’ve found the best way to prevent that is to have some hardware cloth around the shed base. Additionally, if you bend the hardware cloth 90 degrees, and place it such that the hardware cloth comes down from the shed and goes out, that solves the problem. Critters naturally hit a barrier and dig down at the base. If you’ve bent the hardware cloth OUT, they hit the “corner” of it and stop. This hardware cloth is different than most as it comes PVC coated. Not only does the black finish look more attractive than regular steel, but the PVC coating helps prevent rust. The fact that it comes in a 24” size means no need to cut. Just bend where necessary and bury the rest. Overall, attractive black, PVC coated to help prevent rust, comes in the correct size to minimalize cutting, it’s the perfect hardware cloth!

I used this as a fence for my rabbits not to come over my strawberry garden and it has worked so far. Last year my strawberries were eaten by the rabbits but this year I am getting no rabbits inside my planting area. Although I had some issues when the rabbits tried to dig under it and make themselves a pathway but when placed a bit under the ground it has been working for now. I have had no nesting or pests coming in for now and hopefully, it stays that way. It is very long and I had enough for my entire area and some extra. Always use gloves that are work gloves when handling as it is strong and thick wires. You will also need a wire cutter to snip the extras off.

This hardware cloth is good quality and will easily withstand the abuse of most projects. It is as good as any hardware cloth I've seen at stores like Lowes or Home Depot for a similar price. I like that this particular product has the smaller ¼ inch holes, as opposed to the ½ inch holes. This makes it better for my current uses which are mostly chicken keeping and raising. The 100 foot roll is HUGE, much larger than I expected and I am sure it will last me a long time. Anyone looking to buy this, though, should make sure that they want this particular product- it is shorter than most hardware cloth I've seen at only 2 feet. Which is fine as long as it fits your needs of course. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a large amount of hardware cloth that is 2 feet tall for a reasonable price.

I used this 1/2 in welded wire for garden fencing. We have a terrible time keeping ground hogs out of our raised beds. I wanted something that was moderately high, yet didn’t have raw edges on the top because I crawl over the fencing to access my plants. This wire is perfect. It doesn’t have sharp raw edges on the top or bottom. It is coated and should last a long time. It easily rolled out and along the edges of my beds. I zip tied it to stakes and I am hoping this keeps all the plant loving animals out of my beds. I snugged up the remaining wire and slipped it back into the sturdy box it arrived in. Perfect storage…..for very nice wire.

We got this to reinforce the chicken run. it's super sturdy. at first it's hard to work with because it's been coiled up for so long, but with a little effort, it straightens out and becomes workable. the wire is easy to cut and easy to connect it to the run frame. The initial roll is heavy, so make sure you get your husband to move it for you (I couldn't bring the box in the house without a lot of effort)! lol! it works to keep some predators out of the run (I'm looking at you, skunks!) and it keeps the chickens from pushing at the chicken wire. I do like it! if we need more, this is what I'm getting.
