This case represents a spectacular value compared to similar items marketed to be used in conjunction with the AKAI MPC LIVE III. The first review I read was off putting and I almost passed on this offer because of it. The person reviewing doesn't even appear to own it; just crying about the dimensions which are accurate and acceptable for the LIVE III. I don't normally write reviews but I felt this was warranted because there wasn't enough first hand information from people who actually own it. The seller accepts returns so it was worth a try to see if it was suitable. It indeed fits the MPC LIVE III perfectly. It's hard plastic on par with pelican cases and there is no extra foam parts to remove or manually size, the cavity is pre-cut ready to accept the MPC LIVE III. For a hard case the price point is amazing. The other "branded" case available is beautiful but extremely overpriced and they raised the price again and the other "non-branded" case is kind of a hard-soft case with minimal protection. This case has a good seal, the henge is strong, smooth opening and closing and It can be pad locked. I found no defects to cause concern. I highly recommend it.

Many are saying there isn't room for the charger or USB-C cable (although I don't know why you'd be bringing the USB-C cable without your computer... and if you're meeting someone to upload your WAVs then they're obviously going to have a USB-C cable)... but there is. Learn to wrap your charger cable correctly and they both (the IEC extension and the switching box) slide into the left side, leaving the right side open to store the USB-C... or a second SSD or a couple SD cards... or heck, even a Sennheiser e609 or 906 can fit there... Anyway, super decent for the price, snug fit, leaves room for the I/O in the back. I have no clue what the screw off circle within the handle area does... or whether or not the empty slots can be used for a shoulder strap.

It's a decent case for the price, but I highly recommend cutting the foam padding where the live 3 power button is located. The foam backing presses up against the power button while carrying. Which results in your mpc powering on without you knowing. If know one else is experiencing this, great. Just letting you know what mind is doing.

See attached photo. The Live 3 fits snug, with room for the attached charger. There isn't room for the stock USB-C cable, but you could fit a shorter cable in the right side slot. I feel comfortable transporting to and from rehersal and gigs; letting it take the ocassional bump and rare drop; and stacking similarly weighted things on top of it. I would not feel comfortable standing on it, smashing it on the ground, or beating it with a hammer. (Silly as that sounds, there are cases that can withstand such things). Great value, this was cheaper than other custom fit cases.

Really nice, coming from the analog cases from my live 2, this is better built, lighter, waterproof, and fit a third the price almost.. I would really recommend this case, it fits the live 3 great and offers amazing protection.

It’s nice and sleek, good for travel but I do have concerns about the strength of protection. The top is a little weak and there is a little rattle when shaking the case. It’s not horrible, but enough to concern me in the long run. Standing the case up is hit or miss. It will fall over as the backside is not as stable as others. But for the price, it does have a decent level protection. It’s better than nothing. I wish they would give us a decksaver, I like to backpack with my MPC, over carting it in a case. But for more than half of the price as its competitors, it does a decent job of protecting the device.

This is a great value for a rugged carry case. I know this is custom cut for a particular piece of music electronics but I use it for carrying other items (“defensive items”). I added a foam layer on the bottom making it the right thickness to securely hold these items. The outer shell is extremely strong without being as heavy as other polymer carry cases. It is also inconspicuous so no one would guess what it inside. It is also perfect for traveling, with both two positions for a lock and a pressure-relief valve (for bringing it into checked baggage on an airplane). For that purpose, this is an excellent choice and far better than alternatives.
