I got this machine in anticipation of my cows freshening because I needed a better vacuum pump than the automotive Airco unit I was using. The point is you don’t need more than 13 inches of vacuum, you need enough volume of airflow so you won’t lose suction when you try to install the teet cups to the teets. This milking setup doesn’t even come close. The claw was impossible to use and once I did get some milk through the machine cleanup is a huge task. The hoses are nearly impossible to take off and on the machine. Meanwhile my cows finish their ration and get impatient with me while I’m constantly trying to get this apparatus to work. Lousy suction power. Hard to use. Difficult to clean.

Only down side….. doesn’t come with constructions. But I’ve milked cows most of my youth so putting it together just took a bit of common sense and looking at the picture. I’ve used it everyday for 3 weeks milking my Jersey cow. It’ll lose suction fairly quickly if you don’t get the unit on the cow quickly but once it’s on it works as a dream. My Jersey gives about 4 gallons once a day and I can get her milked in less then 10 minutes with the unit. I was very reluctant buying a cheap milking unit from Amazon but I am extremely happy with how well it’s worked so far. Trust me when I say this it’ll do what you need it to if your milking a small cow or two once or twice a day. Cleaning it is slightly a pain in the ass but empty the collection jug then run bleach and dish soap through the unit then empty it. Then run hit clean water through the unit empty it again and let it dry for the next day. That by itself is another ten minutes of screwing around. Otherwise for a small one family cow operation I love this. Don’t hesitate to give it a try.

Came with NOTHING to help put it together. No instructions on how to use it. Suction power is weak for a Cow works well for goats.

This machine seemed fine and good quality but just in a couple months it started falling apart. The handles came apart and totally came off at the welded area and the ball safety stopper keeps falling in the milk. The tubes had to be replaced after a week because they were leaving a weird taste in the milk and someone has to hold the lid down before it will gain suction. It could be worse maybe but right now it’s making us all really frustrated and not sure how to fix any of the problems other than the tubes.
