Very cute project with the granddaughters 10 and 6. They painted and decorated the puppies and used them as their night lights on our sleepover. They loved them. Gave 4 stars cuz a couple of paint colors were empty but still plenty of color choices and stickers. Night light was just the right brightness. Recommend, fun and practical

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson as an activity for us to do together. I like it for a few reasons: First, because it’s an easy craft without a bunch of pieces or steps. You just take out the dog and paint and get started. Next, I appreciate that it’s something he can use every night. He uses it at his bedside for a night light. It’s not just a craft that gets pinned to a bulletin board then thrown away. It has a function so it has value. I’m always looking for simple toys or activities that we can together that will engage my grandchildren. This was a good addition to my grandma bag of tricks. I believe it was a good value for the money too.

Yeah, so this is a great idea and it was very fun for my young child and I to paint, but unfortunately the acrylic paint doesn't stay on the cheap, plastic material. It would be better if the lamp was made out of something other then plastic. It took us about and hour to paint, then once it dried it started chipping. Also, I would like it better if it plugged into the wall instead of running off of cheap small batteries. One plus with this kit is it came with stick on gems.
