I made these as a kid decades ago. Enjoyed it then, enjoy it now. But ... these are so much BETTER! The cotton loops are actually soft & all of them fit! When I was little, half of the loops were too short. Loved the added hook to weave the loops under & over. Plus the 2nd hook to use when weaving the pot holder off. Used to do all by hand. The extra gadgets make is so much easier & enjoyable. Loved this! Made some awesome new holders. Thickness is great so there will be no burnt fingers. Great for a gift for crafters. I would recommend for mid grade through middle school ages. My 6 year old grandsons would have gotten frustrated if they tried them. Sometime, things will slip off. My grandsons do not have that patience... yet. Lol! Recommend! ... show more

I got this for my six year old granddaughter. It is smaller and not as sturdy as the one I had as a child but it works. She needs help when doing it but I think as she gets older she will be more dexterous. She has been getting these completed like its her job!! So far everyone has been gifted with one but ME!! Excellent quality! Great value! I had one when I was a little girl and I loved it! So glad I found this one! The loom is very sturdy and painted nicely! The loops are have a great stretch and love the quality!

The bands were easy to get on the loom, but hard to weave. Very thick. Fingers are very sore after use, and fingernails hurt very much. The bands frayed when pulled, and children find it very frustrating when the bands pop up when trying to weave them and finish the craft. Help from an adult is needed for a child under 8 years. Too tight for a 7 inch loom. Colors are very bright, and the finished potholder was very sturdy and functional, but that was probably the only good things about this product.
