My 2 year old daughter loves playing with this abacus. It's helped her learn to count to one hundred. She has also learned to count by tens up to one hundred using it. It is well-made, sturdy, brightly colored, and seems like it will last long enough for her younger siblings to use as well. Got this as a tool for my daughters home schooling (she is 3.5). It is sturdy and well made. The beads slide easily from one side to another. They are close together so it also teaches her to go slow and to stay focused on what she is doing. I am happy with this purchase.

useful toy, but like I mentioned in my other Hape product reviews: I love Hape products — they’re wooden, colorful, and very high quality. However, I don’t think this particular toy is the best choice for toddlers. It’s heavy, has sharp corners, and I can easily see little ones getting hurt or wooden floors getting scratched if it’s dropped. It’s a beautiful, well-made toy, just not the most practical for very young children. Probably better suited for older kids who can handle it more gently. ... show more

We bought this a little over 4 months ago and it is used nearly every day by our almost 3 year old. I have no complaints, and there has been no issue with the quality or durability thus far. We have had no problem with the size of the abacus, and my daughter can easily move it from one room to another as she feels comfortable. This Abacus is very sturdy and well made. I can see it lasting a long time in our playroom, although my kids do not play very rough with their toys. The colors are bright and vibrant. My kids really enjoy it and my husband enjoys showing our 6 year-old how to use it to do math.

Sturdy made and it is made in Germany..... my four-year old is using this for his math workbook, simple yet colorful! I think this is a good tool to introduce Mathematic to children!

This abacus seems like quality and is beautiful to look at with it real wooden frame and beads. My kids age 5 and 7 like using it for math. My daughter is actually using it right now with her tutor as I write this review!
