Nicely made product. Real wood. Well put together. Easy to understand directions. My child loves the ice dispenser!! Great way to store the food and plates out of my view. I got some clear plastic containers for drawers on the shelves and no king have to pick up a huge mess from the toy kitchen!

***After writing the review below and contacting Hape, the company quickly reached out to me and worked with me to resolve the problem. I can't speak highly enough for the company and these two products(kitchen and refrigerator). My grandkids love them! I purchased this Fridge after first buying the Hape Gourmet Kitchen, both were for a Christmas gift. I was so impressed with the Gourmet Kitchen (it is solid and assembly was very easy), that I decided to splurge(it wasn't on sale) and buy the Fridge to go with it. Unfortunately, there was assembly problems when attaching the right wall the the top. The screws would not fit into the predrilled holes, so the fridge isn't stable. This step comes almost at the end of construction and will require taking it completely apart. I have contacted the company and will update this review with their response. ... show more

Like all Hape products it appears to be of high quality. It was easy to put together. There are not that many pieces and the directions were clear. It is small, perfect for a toddler, although I will probably keep the wood ice cubes away from my granddaughter for awhile. The wood feels pretty porous and I think will pick up finger prints etc. I am tempted to spray some kind of varnish on it but that probably negates the whole non toxic thing I like about these toys. ... show more
