  • Versatile, an effective hand garden rake
This little rake is impressive! Very sharp points to break up the dirt easily, and, they are long enough to get deeper into the soil than other common rakes.

  • My favorite garden tool.
Love it so far. Hope it doesn't break as another reviewer experienced. I bought this during the winter, just tried it out today. Great as a mini rake for pulling woodchips back over a newly planted tree. Also good for mixing compost into the normal soil before inserting the bagged tree root ball. The tines spread out fairly wide and so are very efficient. The ends are sharpish, which helps when mixing hard compacted soil in with the mulch. Glad I bought it. UPDATE: Months later, this is my favorite hand tool for gardening, and I have a few expensive gardening tools. I find lots of uses for it beyond why I bought it. I'm thinking of buying a 2nd one so I have one in each hand when picking up and spreading great globs of mulch. I can be Edward Scissorhands. It's great for digging hard soil around tough weeds such as thistle so you can get a better grip on the root. I use it for digging holes for planting tree seedlings as it's more efficient than my expensive all steel trowels, and doesn't compact the soil around the edges of the hole. The one downside is that the tool blends in with the surroundings, and I keep misplacing it. It would be a wicked thing to step on accidentally, which I have come close to doing several times. I'll have to paint the handle a nice bright yellow so I don't lose it altogether. UPDATE: 'well it happened. Buying 2 more of these 'cause I did indeed lose the first one. Hope it's not on the ground somewhere where I - or the deer -- might step on it. The tines are wicked. This time I will dip the handles in a bright color paint. Other than that, this has been the bomb. I wish Joy Mangano would get a version of this marketed with a long handle and a wider set of tines to be used in a standing position. It would be perfect for spreading huge amounts of mulch - a 5-acre project I'm currently facing. I gather from other reviews that the manufacturer has a little qc problem, but the preferred Dewitt brand costs 3 times as much as this one, at least on Amazon. I'll take my chances on the Asano brand again since the one I had held up to some heavy digging as well as raking, and I have hard clay/gravel substrate here. It is also very comfortable to hold onto. ... show more

  • Every Ninja has one.
Great for sneak attacks on corrupt Daimyos. Also very effective in pulling weeds. The Japanese don't make these sort of garden tools to last only a season. Sturdy, they will survive hard use for years.

  • Great product
The Japanese really do know how to make great products the complete opposite of the Chinese. This product is clearly made in Japan and is sent all the way to America for only about nine or $10. It is a great gardening tool.. The metal is quality metal. The wood is quality wood and for this price you cannot go wrong. This is a great ergonomic sure it works really well with your wrist in your arm when you’re in the garden. ... show more
