I used these for simple card game mats. Almost all were very close to 10"×10". One was way short but there was an extra so I got 50 usable pieces. Most colors unique, but a couple either duplicated or have very similar colors. Cloth is a bit thin and edges have lots of loose strings, but I think that's to be expected. This fabric is 100% percent cotton. I prewashed the squares. Yes, they shrink a bit. All cotton fabrics should be prewashed to shrink them before use. All cotton fabrics fray some after washing. This is totally normal. I cut the frayed threads off and held a lighter under them. They burnt without getting a hard ball. This means they are all cotton. The cloth will be great for quilts or I might piece them together to make a blouse. I would not hesitate to buy these again. I did put the cloth pieces in small laundry bags to wash them.
