As a radial tire, the V12 EV02 contains a high-grip silica tread compound. This compound includes the use of styrene polymer which provides lower rolling resistance and better fuel economy. The directional tread design contains notched shoulder and 3D sipes around a continuous center rib. This gives enhanced traction and dry handling.

I was afraid they would be old inventory because of the discount and free shipping. But these are less than 6 months old, very good for new tires. Manufactured stamp 4423 = 44th week of 2023. The 44th week was the 1st week of November 2023. These will be great for the next 6+ years!

    • Easy way to purchase good tires

If you know what tires and the size you need Amazon makes it a breeze to buy. It's easy for me because there are only a few manufacturers that even make this profile tire (255/45ZR20) with the "Z" speed rating I need, so I've been running these Hankooks for years. Buying from Amazon avoids the "this tax, that fee, extra overcharge" shenanigans the tire stores have become infamous for. You can even prepay for installation if desired. Offering excellent traction they instill confidence about handling and using your car as the designers intended, although that will diminish with age as with any tire. Tire life is fairly good, but this is on a performance car so tire life tends to be shorter because it is driven harder. I can't really speak to how they behave in weather as we don't really get much of that here in SoCal, but they hold the road when I'm caught in rain. ... show more

These tires are great for the price. They offer a reasonably long treadwear life, a low price, and pretty good performance for a summer tire. No issues stopping in the rain, hydroplaning seems to be a non-issue for the most part in shallow standing water. Good traction, decent sidewall stiffness, low noise for a performance tire. The only thing I noticed is that once the tire starts aging (after a couple years of mounting), the rubber begins to harden and the tire begins to lose traction less progressively in hard cornering. This will be a non-issue for most people, but it is noticeable when pushing the cars lateral traction during spirited driving. All in all a great tire for the money. I haven't owned a car with any other summer tires on it before so I don't have a lot of experience to compare with. What I do know is that these tires stick to the road pretty damn good especially when the roads are warm on a sunny day. I have drive these to Oregon in the summer through low 40's and they did ok there too. I probably wouldn't wanna take them through much colder than that. These are replacing the same exact tires on the rear of my Infiniti g37 and the last set lasted me 12 thousand miles. I don't drift but I do power slide around through turns and drive fairly spirited. I think these tires will wear out in about 15 thousand miles tops no matter how someone drives on them. Good value and the best price I could find anywhere here on amazon. Next time I'm going with all seasons for tire longevity purposes. ... show more

One of the best things I've ever done to my volvo v30 is replace the Goodyear eagle sports with the ventus V12s. It made the car come alive! Way more stable in the corners and I had zero problems getting them ballanced. Very little road noise and a very smooth ride are also a plus.
