One string is perfect for about a 10 foot spans. Keep all of the bundles tied up until you have wrapped them around the pole or however, you want to attach it. There’s a generous, and that makes it easy to not waste lights after plugging it in. You can unwind it as short or as long as you want. Really made a difference in my outside deck fire pit area. So for that reason, I found it to be a great purchase. The remote control comes with a battery, but doesn’t seem to connect very well. It took several tries and having to get closer and really point at it to finally turn it off. I have not tried the other options yet. I bought these for my office and they are super cute! Just the right amount of light for me to keep the big light off. I did not read into the product to know this before hand, but the remote control (which is super handy) offers 8 settings for the lights. I love them.

If you are thinking about ordering these, order them right now! These are so nice and vibrant and work like regular LED light strips as it comes with a remote, different color options, modes, increase and decrease the brightness, and even a timer settings. They are not that difficult to put up and they are very long so it will take up the whole wall or curtain after putting them up. I do wish it came with more color modes and a less intense flashing mode with the color but other than that, these are super nice. You can fall asleep with them on they will be turned off in the morning with the timer. If you were considering any other fairy lights on Amazon, stick with these you won’t be disappointed at all! ... show more

These seems to be working fine after a couple of months. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that if one hangs them from the top wire running, the lights start about 6-8 inches below the ceiling line. It'd be a better look for the lights to start right at the top, to have a full wall of lights. This can be solved by how one secures the lights to the wall, but would be easier just to have the 1st set of LEDs close to the top wire. ... show more
