This is heavyweight (as described). I didn't realize that and was expecting mid weight--my mistake. It's a warm hoodie for a cool day or night. I really like the Pebble color, it's a nice shade like a cafe au lait.

Got the cactus color for my son. It fit perfect & looked great. We washed it once and now it's a cropped sweatshirt that he can only wear with overalls. We wash all clothes in cold & tumble dry low. No clue what happened...he's very disappointed.

Heavyweight, to actually provide some insulation from the cold and wind. But not so heavy that it's like wearing a bulletproof vest. Tired of buying sweatshirts that get those "pills" after only a few weeks. "Patent Technology" from Hanes is supposed to prevent that and I'll be glad when it does just that. Everything about this sweatshirt is of a higher quality, from the seams to the slight differences at the neck and pouch, with no hanging threads or loose connections, and it fits right. It costs more but I'll probably still be wearing it when in the same time-span I would have bought and thrown away 3 or 4 or the cheap ones. "You get what you pay for." ... show more

I was looking for a heavy hoodie. I work a bit outdoors, so I ordered a XX large one in 9+ounce cotton. Still I was skeptical until it arrived and I put it on. Yes!! It was nice and roomy, definitely not clingy and just the right weight.
