I got the pink satin ribbon with intentions of using it for a tag blanket for a baby shower gift. Unfortunately, while they are soft, they also fall apart. I’m very disappointed because the colors are beautiful but these would be better for wrapping a gift, not sewing projects.

The quality of this ribbon set is better than I expected for the price. The fabric has a smooth, silky feel, and the colors came out exactly as shown in the pictures, which is rare with craft supplies. They’re easy to work with—I’ve used both fabric glue and a sewing machine without any issues—and they shape nicely for bows and decorative accents. The glossy side has a nice sheen while the matte side gives you some flexibility in how polished you want a project to look. That said, the ribbons are on the delicate side. They work beautifully for things like bouquets, gift wrapping, or accessories that won’t see heavy wear, but I wouldn’t recommend using them for clothing that’s going to be washed and worn often. For lighter projects or decorative use, though, these ribbons add a really nice touch and look more expensive than they are. ... show more

The description of this ribbon collection says they are made of silk, and I believe that's true. The fabric feels like silk chiffon and behaves like it, although I did not do a burn test to confirm that. I expected the frayed (they call it "fringed") edges to keep fraying unchecked, but actually they don't, which is great. The cut end of the ribbon does fray some but that's easy to deal with- just trim it off. The collection of greens will be useful for just about any occasion. This is a nice selection of blue ribbon. It is somewhat stiff without wire. The drawback of this product is once you cut it ,it wants to unravel and fray. I had to use my wood burning tool to keep the ends from unraveling.

Colors are beautiful, but the quality of the material is straight garbage. As I was trying to remove the tape that holds the roll together, THE TAPE ripped a HOLE in the underlying ribbon. Colors ARE nice, But quality is on the poor side. If you're looking for ribbon to tie gifts or something "one time use" this would most likely work. But, if you're looking for ribbons for sewing and/or scrapbooking projects- This isn't it. Texture is more like straw woven together than satin and when sewed onto fabric it snags on everything and is really hard to sew without it falling apart completely. Plus you'll have annoying little colored fibers EVERYWHERE for weeks!!! Very disappointing!! ... show more
