My husband and I bought this device for joint pain as we have both used red light therapy during physical therapy appointments. We wanted something to use from home to continue pain relief and healing after therapy was over. Wanted to try light therapy for my knees and shoulder. Came across this handheld wireless unit and decided to give it a shot. It comes with a manual, USB charging cord and wall adapter, safety goggles and a cleaning cloth. Packaging was good. The device is pretty simple with a on/off button, a timer button, and a strength button which is labeled "Power" which makes it a little confusing. Don't confuse this button with the on/off power button. The "Power" button allows to to cycle through one of 4 strengths of light. The timer button allows you to cycle through one of 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes or 20 minutes for your session time countdown. To operate, you press the on/off button, then select your "Power" & Timer settings. Then press the on/off button to start the red lights. Pressing on/off once the lights have lit up will pause the lights and they go out. Pressing yet again will restart them. Pressing and holding the on/off button will turn the device completely off. They recommend checking for light sensitivity first on your forearm. I did this and everything was fine. I've tried a few low power low timer sessions so far. It's still a bit early to notice any benefits but if anything changes drastically either way I'll come back and update the review. Finally once the timer countdown reaches zero, the lights go out but the unit remains powered on. You can start a new session or power the unit off from there. I recommend fully charging the unit before first use so you can see how many sessions you get from a full charge. There are two sets of light on the unit that run simultaneously. There is a large outer area the penetrates shallow depths and a small centered area that penetrates deeper. It's a lightweight and easy way to get some light therapy at home or on the go. Overall I'm pleased so far with the unit. Time will tell more about any benefits.

This handheld RLT device is so great to have! Since receiving it, I use it for: skin & hair care, menstrual cycle care, joint pain & healing. It’s convenient and has settings which are recommended for at home RLT usage. I wouldn’t be without this device for my family and me!

This red light therapy wand is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and very easy to use. The device feels well made, and the controls are straightforward. After using it consistently, I didn't notice significant results as quickly as I had hoped. While it may provide benefits with longer-term use, the improvements were minimal during my experience. Overall, it's a decent device with good build quality, but the results were slower and less noticeable than I expected.

I've been using red light for the past couple years in a total body sauna with good results. I wanted something where I could target specific areas and have the portability. This fit the bill and for the past month it has been doing the job on my knee. This takes time and consistency. Anyone that says they used it once and felt relief its very questionable... it just doesn't work like that. I like this deice becuase the controls are simple to use and you just charge it. No batteries to replace. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to try a pain relief regiment. Good Luck!

It seems weird to give a product five stars when you don't know if it's really working. But… It lights up, holds a charge, is easy to use. I recently had surgery with a few scars that I am hoping this will help make fade quicker.
