Brand: WELLST·G To start, the color I choose was "RED", however the color is really "PINK", not red. It is shown correctly in the pictures, just described wrong. That's an important detail if you order for your little boy and his favorite color is red... but he ends up with a hot pink game. I ordered this for my 7 year old niece who has a few learning challenges. I knew prior to ordering it that it was not comparable to the more expensive and more popular games. However, it is bright and shiny, makes noise and is interactive. It gets her attention and keeps her occupied for a short time, as expected with her attention span. For these purposes, it works nicely. It helps increase hand/eye coordination and problem solving skills. However, it's not something that I'd expect my own kids to be happy with. It is not a replacement for a Switch or similar game. The quality is descent and the game options are vast. It claims to have 220 games - I didn't count, but there's a lot! There are 6 categories of games: Puzzle, Action, Education, Table, Sport, and Relax. Even though it is described as "retro games", I hardly recognized any of them and was expected to at least see a few that I was familiar with in my 40+ years. They're knock-off games, so to speak. The images is clear and it is in color - not black/white as comparable games are. The battery seems to hold a charge reasonably well and can easily be charged using the usb-c cable provided (same that fits my pone). The size is 5.9" wide x 2.8" tall (maybe a half an inch or so thick). My only one complaint, and it's a big one for our needs, is the volume level. Remembering that this is intended for a child with sensory issues, I turn the volume down to a level that's easy on the ears, but you can still hear it. If you leave that game and go back to the main screen/choose another game, the volume automatically resets to the maximum level. There's improvement needed there.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this handheld gaming console for my 7-year-old son, and it’s absolutely perfect for kids. The device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to take on trips or long car rides. It’s especially handy because it doesn’t require Wi-Fi to play the preloaded games. I gave this hand held console three stars because while it is not great, it is not bad either. Visually, it looks nice and the screen is bright. It has alot of games, I am still trying them all out. So far I have found a few pleasant games that I will come back to. There are also alot of mediocre games. If are looking for a pleasant distraction every now and then without having to devote the dozens of hours modern video games seem to demand, this unit may be worth considering. My one real complaint about this console is the volume. Rather than a volume dial that let's you fine tune the volume to your liking, there is a button that toggles you between mute and two or three other sound settings. Not only can I not set this to a volume level I like, everytime I back out of a game and return to the main menu, the sound returns to the maximum setting, which I find to be too loud. Other than that, it has been fun to play with.

I got this for my granddaughters to play with. Lots of great retro games - so I'm playing it too. For the volume, there is a button that you can use to cycle through four levels of volume or no volume at all. The viewing angle on this is pretty tight. You need to be looking at it straight on. It doesn't mind you looking at it from the right too much but looking at it from the left is difficult. There are 6 categories of games: Puzzle, Action, Education, Table, Sport, and Relax. There are anywhere from 20 to 41 games under each category that can be scrolled through. These are not in Alphabetical order, but there aren't that many to scroll through. It has a usb-c port for charging, and it has auto-shutoff if left unattended. It's great for kids. Specifically, to teach them to get comfortable with electronics and to teach them some simple video game moves but I'm taking off one star for the tight viewing angle.

The volume adjust is probably the the thing I like least. It's just a single button. Push it, and the volume goes up and up until it goes back to silent, and it doesn't remember the volume setting. Like go into a game, cycle the volume around to silent, then go back to the home screen, and volume is on again. Screen viewing angle isn't great, and I think the screen was made to be used in a portrait config, and being landscape makes the view kind of weird for each eye. Also very light and feels flimsy. But I think it will be OK for my kids, but time will tell on that. Got this as a Christmas present for my 9 year old, but had to try it out first.
