    • Didn’t work for my AWID card
I was hoping this handheld RFID reader would be a simple fix, but it couldn’t read or copy my 125khz AWID card, even though it says it should. The ease of use is fine, but the functionality just isn’t there for what I needed. Not great value for money considering the quality.

Yeah, this really did copy the key fobs and ID badges! I was skeptical, especially at the low price and lack of detailed reviews, but it actually does work! I copied the key fob for my mom's apartment building as well as my ID security badge for my office at a local government building. Obviously, after testing I immediately wiped the duplicate of my employee badge, but the card and the fob worked perfectly! I am not associated with this company and did not receive a free product for review. I purchased it like any other buyer and to my surprise this thing works perfectly and is so easy. I don't know the frequency of the stuff I copied but I'm sure they are similar to other ones typically in use. I thought the system at my office would be a higher security level or incompatible with this reader, but it copied it and created a working duplicate in less than 15 seconds. Give it a shot, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. And for this price what have you got to lose! Haha ... show more

    • Super simple and functions every time.
I verified that what I needed copies of were 125khz before ordering this. There is a sheet included with a QR code for the manufacturer's website with simple, clear PDF of instructions and how-to videos. I followed the video exactly, and it's worked for me every time. (You need two AAA batteries for this, they are not included w the item). The individuals for whom this does not work for likely do not understand the technical specifications that correlate to this reader/writer's functionality. $15 is a fantastic value compared to the hours of time it would have taken me to download the github repository and flash it onto microcontroller, along w buying all the extra fobs / tags / cards. ... show more

Does not work with AWID cards (AWID26) in spite of the product photo specifically showing AWID. I assume it works with the other things in the pictures, but they need to take AWID out or further specify which AWID it does and doesn't work for.

AMAZING. Works perfectly, including for AWID fobs. You can copy AWID fob to another fob OR to the cards provided. You can make a copy in 5 seconds flat. Definitely worth it, to avoid getting an additional fob at a high cost from HOA or employer etc... So cool.

Bought it to clone a key, id assume security is more strict on the key so it didnt work, but worked with a couple key fobes like my pool and things i do around the house, quality is all plastic but its one of the cheapest there is so its all good!
