    • Great when it works
This fireplace looks completely real when it works. That’s the problem though. It works wonderfully every night for about a month and then all the sudden it stops working and you have to open up the unit and take out the transducer which is what makes the mist. Then you have to open the transducer and clean the ceramic disk and put it all back together. It will then work for about 2 weeks and you have to repeat the process. At that point it will work for about 2 hours. After repeating the process again it will work for about 10 minutes. The transducer didn’t go bad, just the ceramic disk which you can’t buy separately in the United States. Dimplex makes you purchase a new transducer for $99. Oh, did I mention the transducer is out of stock? You can purchase just the disks in the UK for about $15 for a 4 pack but not in the good ole U.S. of A. Ultimately don’t waste your time and a lot of money on this. And if you do, buy from a reputable dealer. Not online! ... show more
