Reviewing Hand Planer Corded, Planer with 3-1/4” Planing Width, We are doing some remodeling in the basement. My husband has all these nice, expensive power tools that he’s using for the remodel. We can’t work on the same tasks because he only has one set of each type of tool. Sometimes, we need to work on the same tasks. Rather than buy a second expensive tool, or rent the tool and need to rush to use it before it’s time to turn it back in, I wanted to get some DekoPro tools. I’ve used them in the past and they are good tools at very reasonable prices. This planer is the nicest one I’ve seen at this price point. It works perfectly and is easy to use. The learning curve is very small. It is smaller than my husbands but it’s all I need for the tasks I do. It is corded, so it has plenty of power. The edge guide works perfectly, and the dust collection bag does a great job. For $50, you won’t find a better planer.

This IS the sharpest tool in the shed... and the most dangerous. The DEKO planer is very well-made and versatile. It has adjustments to allow it to do straight or chamfer cuts. The 16000RPM speed and the sharp barrel blade make is as capable and some bench planers. The thing to keep in mind is that power hand planer (not just this brand, but all hand planers) have the reputation for the most injuries of all power hand tools. This is not to say you shouldn't use the tool, just be careful. Make sure you are working on a stable surface. Never hold the wood with one hand while running the planer. Always have the wood clamped and supported. I always wear thick leather gloves and make sure the guides are in place to get a clean and safe cut.

This is a high quality tool at a very reasonable price. The tool is heavy duty and physically quite heavy as well. It arrived well packaged and included an edge guide, dust/shavings collection bag and pretty decent instructions for use and maintenance. This planer is very powerful. I used it to shave down the edge of a 1-1/4" oak door, and it cut through the oak like butter, leaving a perfectly smooth surface. The planer also has angle guides cut into its bottom plate for use in creating 45 degree chamfers along your board's edge. I would honestly expect this tool to sell for two to four times the price. I am very pleased with this product! Highly recommend!

I am not a woodworker, but for $45.99 I decided I could try—and let me tell you, I am now unstoppable. My dark wooden cabinets were perfect representatives of the 1990s aesthetic, and I was seriously considering replacing them. This planer removed the old surface so I can refinish the cabinets and keep them, potentially saving me a ridiculous amount of money. It is powerful and removes wood quickly, so beginners should start at the shallowest setting and practice before attacking anything important (good bye cabinet door, completely my fault). Also, make sure you are working with solid wood rather than thin veneer (don't be like me). For under $50, this little machine has already earned its place in my house and opened up an entirely new category of DIY projects.

This is a quality well priced ( less than only $50) -3 1/4" planer ..worth a 1600 RPM MOTOR .. Comes with a an edge guide and a dust bag ..great for woodworking ..this is a powerful motor ,with a adjustable planing depth -and a nice straight edge planing guide - with a 45 degree Chamfering groove on the bottom of the planer ... I used this tool to plane the tops of 18 cabinet doors in order to add stainless steel edges on all my kitchen cabinet doors -..it did a great job !

This hand planer makes quick work of rough and uneven surfaces. It comes with everything you need to get started, including a dust bag and edge guide It's very easy to adjust to your desired depth. It feels well made, and seems to punch above its value. It has a decent weight to it without being overly heavy. It covera about a 3 inch work area, so not super large, but not small either. You can also use it make a 45 degree bevel. The trigger feels decent. It's ergonomic. It's not super loud. The cord length is actually pretty decent. I didn't attach the dust bag so you can see how much wood it actually pushes out. You can also see the difference on the edge where the planer started. For $46, I think it's a great value for the money.

This planer is a great value for small woodworking projects. The 3-1/4" planing width and 16000RPM motor provide decent performance, and the edge guide and dust bag make cleanup much easier. It's a reliable tool for detailed work.
