Another one of those, " best bang for the buck" scopes! this 4-12x40AO is just what my Winchester 1400cs needed. It's being capable of 100yard+ shots makes this scope downright handy for an older shooter. Or one that's steadfast about shot placement at longer ranges. Great field of view with this one's 40mm objective. clear as crystal too. When I combined it with the Instapark 5-bolt mount, I go the perfect set up for my 1400cs and it's lil mule recoil. This scope has taken all the abuse that Winchester can dish up. So it should do perfectly on your air rifle. These scopes really are designed to take all the abuse a break barrel air rifle can dish up!     • Replacement Item Review
Was fantastic the first 4 days of use and then would not hold it's zero. " Could not get it back zeroed in." This was what I wanted while it worked just didn't last long at all. I mounted the replacement this morning. First thing I noticed was the same issue with the scope mount. It slips on the dovetail grooves. I cured that with some clear 2 sided tape. Last time it slipped back and sliced off the stop pin on my gun and the stop pin on the mount would not work because of the placement of the pin, " to far forward on the mount ". I fired off 25 pellets this morning and all seems well so far. Am using the scope on a " Beeman Teton .22 cal. Gas Ram ". Will update in 1 week from today, 7-19-18. 7/29/18 Things are working great! Am still having an issue with the mount slipping, But, Hammer's is working with me on that at no cost to me! The scope is holding its zero. Would recommend this scope to anyone with a springer air gun! And it has a life time warranty. ... show more

Seems to hold zero but only 20 pellets cycled through so far. I'm not impressed with the glass though. Been shooting an admittedly cheap scope (until it literally busted apart inside the eyepiece) from CV Life... 6X24X50. Very nice large clear picture. Looking through this scope it's clear in the center and gets progressively out of focus around the edge of sight picture. But, as long as it keeps zero I can make it work. This is an update to my first review. I gave it only 3 stars then. Can’t remember why it was so low. Cause I had my maurader out yesterday and was very pleased with the scope. Shot nothing, just bird watching through the scope. I could hear birds singing all around us but couldn’t see any of them. So I went and got my gun to use my scope to find the birds in the trees. I adjusted the scope for several distances from 15 yards to beyond 100 yards. I was able to see many variety of birds and at many different distances without any problem. This morning I stumbled upon my first review and felt I should update it to better reflect how I feel about this scope today. I think its a good scope for the money spent on it. Oh yeah, I have shot pest on my yard with it and it is holding zero spot on. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars from me this go around ... show more

This scope has great clarity and a very nice reticle. It worked great for 25 - 30 shots (see photographs). Then the shots began wander all over the place. The first sighting in group is circled with a dime (to the left of the right target). The scope was adjusted and were hitting on the mark. In the second photograph the right target contains 8 initial shots. Another 5 shots were fired through the same impact points. This is not about my marksmanship. The rifle was steadied and properly supported for all of these rounds. The next day, just to be sure several rounds were fired at the target on the left. Update scope lasted about 200 shots through a gamo swarm fusion 10x gen3i then crosshairs broke not a good scope dont buy it try somthin different on top of that the first scope i orderd which was the same scope they sent a sex toy instead of a scope so I had to buy it twice and wait for my money for almost 30days ... show more

Put this Hammers 4-12X40AO Air Gun Rifle Scope on my Gamo Wildcat Whisper to replace the totally useless scope that came with it. Really impressed with the quality of this scope. Lens are very clear, at all powers. Was just two inches off when I first mounted it, one adjustment and was dead on. Would definitely buy another one. ... show more

I use mine on a Gamo .22 Whisper fusion. This air rifle has a good amount of recoil. I have had no problems with reticle detachment or loss of zero. The optics are nice considering the price. Considering which air rifle you are attaching it too, you might have to change to different rings and base. Update: I've been using this scope on a couple different break barrel air rifles since 2017. I shoot a couple times a week, so have put out thousands of pellets. I've never had to reset zero, unless I changed pellets. No issues with it at all. I been using it on a competition .177 for the past couple of years and it has been perfect.
