Choose the Mask That Fits the Task - HALYARD FLUIDSHIELD Masks are designed to provide the maximum level of fluid resistance recognized by ASTM F2100-11.ASTM F2100-11: The Standard for Fluid-Resistant Protection - ASTM issues guidelines for performance of medical face masks, including a requirement for fluid resistance and particulate filtration. ASTM F2100-11 standards also call for mask packaging to be clearly labeled with the level of protection in one of three levels: 1, 2 or 3. This standard reinforces the importance of labeling to identify protection level, based on fluid resistance, filtration and breathability. This greatly simplifies the process of mask selection. ASTM F2100-11 is recognized by the FDA as the standard for medical face masks.

I purchased a box of these after using and being impressed with Halyard Fluidshield Level 3 masks while working in a hospital. While opening the box I purchased here, I noticed the color and print of these masks are darker than the original Level 3 masks of the same make I used in the hospital. As pictured, I cut open a (lightly used) hospital one I brought home, as well as one from the box. The two outside layers of this mask differ from the original Halyard mask. These masks otherwise fit and feel the same, with identical-appearing earloops. It could be that Halyard updated the orange Level 3 masks since my hospital ordered them in bulk, but the differences leave me skeptical as to whether this product is genuine or not .... ... show more

I am a nurse and wore these when I used to work in the hospital. The masks are very comfortable and do not irritate my face. My glasses don’t fog up with this great nose bridge. Came in the original box. 3 layers. Passed the breath flame test. Also put a flame to the mask, it just burns and doesn’t spark. Feels like the same quality of masks that I wore in the hospital. The color is darker than the ones I had when i worked in the hospital. I have friends in the hospital now and their mask is the same darker orange color that I received. I noticed that most of the employees at hospitals and doctors’ offices were wearing this brand so I ordered some. I thought I was going to get light pink/apricot color, but they are pretty much bright orange! Nevertheless, the bendy nose piece is cushioned with a layer of foam which makes it very much more comfortable than other masks, my glasses don’t fog up, it stays put, and it does not tickle my nose which I find happens with other commercial masks I’ve tried. My husband wears glasses so I got these for him since they are supposed to not fog up as easily. He says they work better than other masks and they are soft and comfortable. They appear to be genuine and product number matches the manufactures website although they do not come wrapped in any plastic or anything inside the box. It’s hard to trust sellers on amazon for things like masks but we feel these are legitimate. ... show more

Forget all these trendy faux masks, disgusting reusable and often unwashed masks, I don’t care if look like a doctor, and don’t care they are peach orange. There were used and recommended by the hospital staff at UTMB during a recent emergency room visit. I HATE masks and long airline flights are horrible for me. But these are cool, sturdy, fit and breath well, decent anti fog feature, and very comfortable. No problem wearing them for several hours which is a first for me. Aside from being comfortable are an actual rated medical product and offer a high level of droplet protection and may provide some reasonable protection vs 85% of the mask wearing public who are either or making a fashion or political statement. These masks are well constructed. The ear loops are soft. With the Delta variant’s increased viral shed, I’m not sure how well they would work for long-time exposure to others in an area with high rates of Covid infection. Unfortunately, in that case, N95 masks might be necessary. However, for a quick dash inside a market to grab a carton of milk, I suppose these surgical masks will suffice. ... show more
