Is the BassiNest Newborn Insert compatible with the Soothing Swivel Sleeper 3.0? Yes. The HALO BassiNest Newborn Insert should be the only sleep insert used with a HALO BassiNest sleeper. It is compatible with all BassiNest models, except Twin. For babies up to 15 lbs. Discontinue when baby shows signs of rolling over. When should I move my baby out of a BassiNest and into a crib? Our BassiNests are intended for babies up to 20lbs. Discontinue use when baby shows signs of rolling over or pushing up on hands and knees, or when they have reached the weight limit - whichever comes first. This thing is amazing. I got a free Snoo bassinet from my employer but I hated it. I had a c-section so I looked up the brand bassinet that was used in the hospital and saw that it was a halo. Two of the things I really loved about the one in the hospital were: 1. It could swivel to me so I could pull the bassinet to me from the hospital bed, which was SO helpful while recovering from surgery. 2. The side of the bassinet is collapsible so I could pick up baby from the bassinet so easily. The weight of my forearms would collapse the side of the bassinet while I was picking her up - so I didn’t have to use my abdominal muscles at all. Some additional features this one has that I love: The sides are mesh so I don’t have to worry about baby rolling over and not being able to breathe if he face is against a side. The height is perfect for pulling over a bed. The bassinet basket is removable! We took it off of the base and brought it to a hotel so baby could still sleep in a familiar space. It has several sound and vibration settings. I love using the heartbeat sound for my baby. Helps her fall asleep. The size is good and as a bassinet, it is the most functional one I’ve had. I wish I had bought one for my first two c-sections. It is a bit on the heavier side - but only if you have to carry it around. If you keep it stationary next to your bed and just deal with the swivel function, it is a piece of cake! I love it and this is seriously one of the best items I’ve purchased post c-section. It is a worth every penny. Also highly recommend the halo swaddles. This company has got sleep down pat for babies!

I spent a lot of time deciding on my first baby's bassinet and finally chose this one and I'm glad I did. It was not too big. The base is wide but it fit under my bed so was not much in the way. The swivel was great for getting out of bed and I liked that I could them through the mesh. The vibration also helped I think. Our room was very small and this was a great fit. I can't wait to put my next baby in it

I needed a new bassinet as I had a c section and bending over was not going to cut it. It swivels over the bed easily and we like to take it off and bring it places so you don’t need a pack and play. It’s easy to assemble, it’s safe, and I enjoy the sounds. Sometimes I think the vibrations are not strong enough. Overall it’s a nice find, it is pricey but I needed something just like this.

I was hesitant due to the price, but I absolutely love it!! Using this for my second child and it’s worth every penny. I had a bassinet/packNplay combo for my first sleeping beside the bed and this is night and day. Way less bulky and much more convenient. Measure your bed before buying. We have a sleep number i10 w/ adjustable bed frame, and this fits over the mattress when the head is flat and at a slight angle. I can swivel it beside the bed if I need my bed adjusted higher for nighttime nursing.

Negative: I did not realize when I purchased this item that there wasn't a plug in option for the vibration/music/light console- it is only battery powered. I have found that my baby isn't a fan of the vibration and the light isn't bright enough for much use- so I really haven't needed it. But I think it would be really irritating to change if it was used frequently. Pros: I love that you can take the bassinet off of the base, already used it as a portable safe sleep space on the go, I do really like the swivel and height so I can easily see my baby at eye level when in bed. The collapsible sides are really handy. Overall would purchase again

We have been using this for 2 months with my son. Almost immediately I noticed that he would end up against one side of the bassinet. I chalked this up to him being a wiggly sleeper, despite him being swaddled. I now realize it is because the actual bassinet portion is tilted to to one side and not level! My child is not developmentally able to roll over, but he is very close to doing it while in the bassinet because the surface is tilted. This is very unsafe! We purchased this 8 months ago and no longer have the packaging or we would be returning due to how unsafe it is. This was a splurge purchase for us, because safe sleep is very important to me and I thought this would make newborn life easier. For $300 it should be safe! Do not purchase this! And yes, we did assemble it correctly.

The only difference between Soothing Swivel Sleeper 3.0 and Swivel Sleeper 3.0 is they additionally provide this device which you attach to the same bassinet. The former is $300 and latter is $220 suggesting this device costs $80. This device does the following: 1. Lights: there are 2 pairs of led lights, one pointing down to the floor and one pointing into the bassinet from the side where the baby sleeps. When the bassinet is turned and is on the bed, the bottom lights are blocked entirely. Both the lights are pretty useless. You are better off with a night light you can remote control. 2. Soothing sounds: These are very low in volume and you have 4-5 options. There are way better options out there which can have multi uses. This device is stuck to the bassinet, so it can't be reused. 3. Vibration: This is honestly the biggest joke/gimmick. There are 2 levels/intensity of vibration. You can barely feel these vibration on the bassinet but the problem is it is very loud! I definitely won't be able to sleep with this on. I honestly can't imagine my baby (not here yet as of this writing) will like these vibrations. So $80 for a bunch of useless features. Don't waste your money on this. There was a deal during prime day where I bought this for $210 which is $10 less than the Swivel Sleeper 3.0, hence I am keeping it. Coming to the Swivel Sleeper/bassinet itself, the legs are extremely wide, way wider than what you can imagine. So based on the height of your bed, the legs may or may not entirely go under the bed. Either ways, getting in and out of the bed is not easy, especially when you are recovering from a child birth. I'll post an update once the baby is here and when I start using this. TL;DR: The soothing device which is about $80 isn't worth the money. The bassinet itself is fine but the legs are extra large and take up a lot of space.

We loved this bassinet although we eventually didn't end up using it as much as we'd like due to breastfeeding and our baby waking up to eat so frequently in the beginning, my only dislike was the swinging part dosent lock so naughty little toddlers can come around the corner and give their siblings a ride aka a swing if you have your back turned lol!! But our baby did Like it when she slept in it. Just unfortunately wouldn't sleep more than an hour or two at a time.
