Bought the 48” shelf to store my 6-ton car jack stands in my garage. Love the look of stainless and shelf is rated for 280lbs. Pros: Shelf is solid and seems well made. Came with a protective film to avoid scratching during shipment. Very simple assembly and came with screws and drywall anchors. Cons: shelf is 48” wide, but support brackets that mount to the wall are not 48” apart. More like 47” apart. So even though I had two wall studs 48” apart, I could only use one of the wall studs for support. I had to use drywall anchors for the other end and just pray the drywall can hold it up. Also, the screw threads that are used to secure the support brackets to the shelf are very delicate. I used a ratchet to tighten them up, and the first time I did it the thread snapped right off. So I carefully tightened the rest and didn’t apply as much pressure. If you’re storing anything over 100lbs, and cannot screw directly into wall studs or some other strong support, I wouldn’t use this shelf as you’ll have to rely on drywall anchors. Otherwise, it’s fine.

The shelf was delivered on time and free from angry UPS driver package abuse. IT was simple to install the qty. (3) support braces. (You need a 10" extension or a ratchet wrench for ease of install. (5 mins) However, the qty. (3) braces are not aligned with standard 16" or even 20' commercial stud alignment. Meaning, only qty.(1) brace will align with studs and you will need toggle bolts to secure to a sheetrock wall that will support the weight. (Comes with sheetrock plastic anchors and 1 1/2" stainless wall anchor screws.) I do not believe if you use the sheet rock anchors the shelf would support the weight the shelf is designed to hold. I envision pulling out of the wall at 2am, while the last girl in the bar in sleeping next to you and you have to jump up buck bald naked and find your, (Pick your weapon of choice), to defend your house and the girl you wanted to NOT spend the night. Great shelf as I have installed in my shop, placed qty. (6) cordless battery chargers, qty. (8) batteries, a random box of screws and taped my SNAP-ON 1997 Snap-on Girls calendar without issue... (And there are some big girls in that calendar) :)
