The shelf came with a bent corner. It was nothing that a hammer wasn't able to fix. However, had the hammer not done the trick, the shelf would have been impossible to install, as the bracket would not have been able to attach to the shelf. After a few hammer whacks bent the corner back to an upright (relatively straight) angle, the bracket slid right in lace, and I was able to tighten the bracket nut, and assemble the shelf. I bought the 6' x 18" shelf, and it is BIG. I would have given it 5 stars, were it not for the bent corner. As long as this isn't going in your 5 start showroom, you will be satisfied with the cool, industrial look of your shelf. ... show more
