Like others said, the makeup cream was very transparent. It took me over 20 minutes to get my face close to how I wanted it. I could not figure out how to use the tattoos. It ended up okay but not how I really wanted it.

I enjoyed using these products! * I ONLY USED WHAT WAS IN THE PACKAGING, with the exception of mascara, INCLUDING THE APPLICATORS * my Instagram will have a tutorial on October 5th, @emmyb_sfx (halloween forever) A few steps to help you along : The paint is more like a cream, so you may need to set the makeup with powder if you’re wearing it out. I added layers of creams on top of each other to increase opacity. I actually used the white paint and the small sponge eyeshadow applicator to add all of the white onto my face and chest, as this gave me the smoothest appearance vs the white cream makeup and sponge. I outlined the nose w the black crayon and used the paint brush to apply black paint. For the scars: Use the darkest red paint color and blend some of the black paint on the sides of the scars but not the middle. This adds dimension. I also highlighted the “blood” with specs of the white paint (in the center of the wounds) to make it seem shiny and to add dimension. I painted the stitches on twice (again, to increase opacity) and flattened the paint brush to add the white highlights to the stitching. I used the spongy eyeshadow application and smudged black paint onto my hand and then added shadows very lightly to the sides of the wounds. I used the black paint to do the eye makeup and applied with the paint brush. I used the black paint and the 2nd darkest red paint for the lips and I used the rough brush on the opposite side of the eyeshadow applicator to drag the makeup around my lips and down my face. I also used the eyeshadow applicator to make all of those smudgy marks on my body. I hope those little tidbits help! xo I hope this inspires you to create something amazing this Halloween season! I tried 4 layers of the white makeup but it all absorbed into my skin and didn't show at all. I tried using my makeup foundation first and that didn't help. The rest of the colors were pretty good. This is the first time I've used this kind of makeup so I don't really have a reference point.

I didn’t try everything in the kit, got it primarily to do scars and some face painting. The colors in the pallet are hit and miss. The black was really light..you would have to layer it over and over again to get it to a black. The white face paint was practically sheer. I squeezed some out and applied it to my face, hardly noticeable..was like applying moisturizer. But the thing I was most upset about was the wax. The little plastic container it comes in is IMPOSSIBLE to open! The lid comes over the container so much, you have absolutely no room to grip the bottom to turn it or pop it open. I spent 10 min trying to open that thing and even purposely dropped it on my tile floor a few times to see if it would crack, loosen up, or pop open …but nope! I was so so mad. I had to proceed with just the fake blood for my purposes. Never again! ... show more

I was a zombie scientist (teacher) for Halloween this year. I ordered this kit and my students told me they couldn’t even recognize me with the makeup on! I used the fake blood, blood capsule, white cream, black crayon, and scar tattoos. Everything stayed put for the day for the most part. I did supplement with a little eyeshadow for a softer tone on the cheeks and eyes. Some blood got on my teeth and would not come off until I brushed my teeth, but that added to the whole look! I also used the fake blood to bloody my clothes. I still have most of the kit left to use again. Worth the money! ... show more

This is a good halloween make up set. We looked like zombies on Halloween night. The only downfall was that it stained our clothes. Dawn, stain remover, vinegar and baking soda, and bleach did not remove the green make up.
