I am 28 years old and have had hair loss my entire life, but it was never noticeable. I became concerned two years ago when I began to lose more hair and noticed white spots on my scalp. So the first thing I did was switch up my haircare routine. I got rid of the majority of the chemicals I was using. I began dyeing my hair with henna instead of chemical coloring products after purchasing new, more natural (paraben and silicone-free) shampoo and conditioner. I noticed some, but not significant, improvement. So, after a few months, I decided to try Vegamour (a specific liquid product for hair loss). A few months into the treatment, I noticed new hair growing in the areas where I used the products, but I stopped using it since, let's admit it, it's expensive. A few months later, I started losing my hair again. I was particularly annoyed by the white spots and the fact that my hair was not the length I desired. Because my hair is dark, it is easy to see gray hair sprouting out of the roots a few weeks after coloring. The reason was that I was losing hair and the rest was splitting. This laser was recommended to me by a friend, and I was skeptical; first, because it is expensive (then I thought about it, and it would become the most affordable option if the other option was to buy the little Vegamour bottles every two months); second, I thought this was another laser scam (but I used laser to eliminate hair on my body, so why not try to reverse the process in my head?). What happened? I can see A LOT of new little hairs growing five months into the procedure (the time that the product manufacturer suggests to notice the results). I no longer have white spots and decided to write this review since today, while collecting hair in the shower as I typically do, I saw a visible decrease in the quantity of hair falling out. Look, you have to be consistent; do the treatment 3-4 times each week, for 11 minutes each time. The results will not be obvious in the first few months, but they will be visible in the fourth or fifth month. I HAVE HAIR GROWING ON MY FOREHEAD?! Post menopause I was literally going bald. A friend recommended the Hairmax for me. It took awhile but I am back to my pre-menopause hair! But you have to know it doesn’t happen overnight. After using it for six months I kind of thought there was some fuzzy hair growing in. Since sections of my scalp were completely bald I could see the beginning of fuzzy hair. This happened at the six month mark where I wasn’t really sure anything was happening. By seven months I was sure there was some hair growing in. By one year I had a lot more hair. Now I am on my second year of using it and my hair is luxurious! I’m able to go to the hair salon and get layers cut in my hair. Not only did my hair grow back, it grew back stronger. Before it was kind of frizzy at the ends all the time, and I had to keep it short. Now it is not frizzy, longer than shoulder length and easy to style. I don’t know if this works for everyone, but it worked for me. I am so grateful. I have been using HairMax Ultima 9 for 3 months. What I noticed is I have just started feeling thicker hair on the roots when I run through the hair. Towards the end of the use of the 2-2,5 month the hair fall increased significantly; however, the scalp is less visible now. I use it as instructed, every other day and run through the scalp for 5-6 times on clean hair. I'm waiting for the hair fall to stop soon. The peach fuzz definitely satisfies me.     • There's good and bad. I ended up bad.

First off, I bought the product directly from Amazon in mid May and I had the product about seven or eight weeks before returning it for a refund. Although the Amazon 30 day refund window had passed, I contacted HairMax and they gave me no problem at all with the return and refunded my money. So, a big plus for Hairmax in that regard. In regard to the device, it couldn't be easier. Charge it, turn it on and you're ready to go. There are two buttons on the top of it: One for the power and one for the 4 second beep, which you can turn off by pushing the button again, if you don't want it. Cleanup is easy: The teeth are easily removed and secured back in place. My experience was mixed overall but ended negatively. I started off with a pretty good head of hair and if I'd had to put it on a scale, I'd say it was a Norwood 1. I'm in my early 50s and have had a total of 6 hair transplants since 1998. I take finasteride and supplements, like biotin. Since barbershops and hair salons were closed in my area due to Covid, my hair had started to grow long, so I thought longer hair might be a nice change - if only my hair were a bit thicker. Well, I started reading about laser devices and chose the Hairmax. I was very excited, waiting to get it. Usage was easy: Use it on damp, product free hair. I'd wash my hair, towel dry to where it was damp, sit down in front of the TV, set a timer for 11 minutes and move the comb every time the beep went off. I know they say that it's doesn't burn but a couple of times, I actually felt a sting from it. It wasn't horrible but I still felt. It's made known both by HairMax and reviews that some people may experience shedding and that it's normal. For the first 3 or 4 weeks, I didn't really notice shedding and maybe that was due to the fact that I had a good head of hair to start with but then, about 6 weeks in, I went to comb my hair in the morning and noticed how thin my hair had become. Obviously, I'd been shedding all along. My hair in the front and above the temples had become VERY thin - as in, you could count the hair strands individually and easily. At that moment, I decided that I wasn't going to keep using the comb. There was absolutely no way that I was going to see how thin it would become and how long I'd have to wait before and if regrowth would occur. That's when I returned it for a refund. Now, I'm extremely worried. The formerly good head of hair that I started with is now very noticeably thinner, after using the HairMax comb. At this point, it looks like all of those years that I'd spent getting hair transplants have been wasted. It's been roughly a month since I've returned the device and I see no regrowth of any kind at all (even stubble) in the areas that have shed. All I can do is hope that the shed areas have gone into a dormant phase and will grow back in. Had I known that I'd end up like this, I would never, under any circumstances, have bought this device. *** Update **** I've had to change my review and give this device one star. If I could give it negative stars, I would. PLEASE, listen to me when I tell you to avoid using this thing at all costs, unless you want to lose your hair. I read all of the positive reviews and supposed great results and figured it was worth a try, since the manufacturer tells you that if you were to stop using the device, your hair would go back to where it was before you started using it, which is a complete and utter lie. Don't believe it - they're just trying to sell another device. Well, it's been 6 months since I've stopped using the laser comb and without question, this device absolutely destroyed my hair. I started with a good head of hair and was hoping for just a bit more thickness and what I got was the worst nightmare that I could imagine. It has thinned my hair out so badly that it's just individual strands in the front and on the side where I part my hair. The density has been demolished and there is no regrowth at all. The good head of hair I had is gone. I'm so frustrated and upset by this that I just want to bury my head and scream. Seemed to be helping, because I'm noticing new little hairs sticking up all over. But!!!! Two days after the last day that it was eligible for return the dang lasers stopped working! Ugh! I'm going to try calling the manufacturer directly.

Review for the Ultima 9 Classic I'm a woman in her 60s with thinning hair I'm the Queen Of Skepticism and Impatience and had already placed a request to return after 2 weeks. After 1 month the overall texture of my hair definitely had improved enough that I decided to keep it. 3 months later... it's a keeper (my ponytail is definitely fuller and I have a bunch of fuzzy hair everywhere) Happy with the results so far - can't wait to see how much more improvement I can have as time goes by... 8 months later... (October 2020) All the baby/fuzzy hair has grown longer and the overall texture and volume difference is very noticeable from when I started. People notice it. I hope it works for you because this is probably the best solution drug free at a relatively cheap cost per month. I had been "shedding" for some time, probably a combination of work stress and health issues I was having for a while. When I washed my hair, and spread my fingers, it looked like spider webs, there was so much hair coming out. Also during the day at work I could run my fingers thru my hair and have hair come out every time! I was also constantly having to pull dropped hair off of my clothes thru the day. I Before this I always had thick naturally wavy hair and it was breaking my heart to watch it disappear. Trued a few crams, they were awful and required so much upkeep. Then I studied several other devices for hair growth, and decided to try this Hairmax, I got in in August 2021) and started using it faithfully about 3-4 times a week, it was easy to use and did not disrupt my life at all. I did not expect to be saying this but this little laser brush is a miracle device. It really does grow hair which to my knowledge has not been available for humans at such an affordable price and without any side effects what so ever. All you need is the perseverance to keep using it. Your hair does not grow back in tough spots on your scalp immediately. Some spots don't start growing hair until after about a year or more of priming. The amazing benefit is, it stopped my hair from falling out immediately. No joke, after about 2 years of use this little miracle device has just about completely rejuvenated my entire scalp. The front hairline is the last frontier. For best results you have to use it more than just one every 3 or 4 days. I use mine every day as many times as I have time for. The more you use it the more your hair grows back.
