The product title refers to these as "fat quarters" and quilting fabric both of which are cotton where I come from. I did not notice that the small print description identifies the fabric as "polyester cotton". What the heck is that anyway? The fabric is shiny and slippery as you would expect polyester to be. The colors and patterns are pretty but polyester will not be suitable for my project.

The media could not be loaded. I’m giving three stars because although the images are pretty, and the colors are OK, the material fabric quality is not what I expected. It’s not cotton, rather it’s a slick silky polyester type material. I have not tried sewing with them yet, but I imagine it’s going to be a little difficult due to the slickness of the material. The sizing is exact as listed. The images are one-sided so the back has no print. Overall, I think they’re more cheaply made than the price I paid. I just wish that Joann Fabrics didn’t close down! I haven’t decided if I’m going to keep them and try using them or just return them and look for something else.

It is a very pretty print. But definitely polyester. I had set my shopping filter set for cotton since my sewing project required 100% cotton. I missed the detail saying it had polyester. I will keep it for another project since it is so pretty.

These fat quarters are advertised as "quilting" fabric but embedded in the product details, is described as a cotton polyester blend. I figured it would be okay and took the jump and made my quilt with it. Do not recommend, listen to the other reviews. It does not crinkle like quilting cotton and especially does not iron well. Most of the pieces had "runs" (imagine like in tights) that I couldn't even cut around. I don't know why I kept trying to use it. Only buy this if polyester is appropriate for your project!
