I researched all the different aquariums before deciding on the Fluval Flex 15 gallon in white. I am so glad I got this one. It was very easy to set up and it is so quiet that I was worried something wasn’t working (it works great. It’s just extremely quiet). The bow front is very nice and the glass provides a wonderful view from three sides. A really great thing is that your filter, pump and heater all go neatly in the back of the aquarium. I had a question about cycling the new tank with substrate and live plants. It seemed that every article on the internet gave varied instructions. I ended up going to the Fluval website and received detailed and informative help in less than 24 hours. The media could not be loaded. Purchased this for my five year old niece for Christmas, I’ve kept and bred Mbuna Cichlids in much larger tanks and ultimately this will house a few shell-dwellers for her. It’s the perfect size for her nightstand, the included LED’s and filtration make for a super clean appearance, and she loves the remote control for the lighting. I did add some floss to the first baffled filter chamber for some additional mechanical filtration and also a heater in the pump chamber. I also directed the nozzles on the output of the pump to just barely disturb the surface tension on the water for some gas exchange, anything more than that resulted in more accumulated water on the bottom of the lid than I preferred, but as long as the lid is frequently opened this would never be any issue at all, it drips down cleanly with no leaks at all. The item was shipped promptly, packaged extremely well from the factory, zero issues at all with the seller. As of today, I’m extremely happy with this purchase! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I received my tank several weeks back but you know UPS they’re very careless with your shipment I’ve had two shipments in the last month with the box are totally destroyed and same with my fish tank it was totally destroyed shattered I notified Amazon immediately and the sign notifies seller I took the box up to UPS store they printed the label for me and we shipped it back as soon as I sent in the confirmation number for return shipping monster pets emailed me and said they would have one out ASAP I had it out within a week it is all set up and it’s working wonderfully no leaks no nothing is perfect As you see I decorate it up because it comes with no decorations or no heater which I do not let need living in Florida but if you’re thinking about getting a 15 gallon tank you can’t beat it it’s awesome ... show more

My only complaint is the tank is growing algae at a fast rate so cleaning it will be constant! I’m not sure why because the water does stay clear it’s just on the glass & back wall & shows up a lot on the white back wall .. I do love the vibe of the style & I think it’s a good tank for only a couple of fish! I’m going to have to get a larger tank for the fish I got when I got this ... they are all thriving well in this tank & the light features are pretty awesome . I plan to get a Betta fish after I upgrade my size for my Goldfish that are growing at a super fast rate , my bad I should have just put 2 in there then it would have been plenty of room ! The filter is very quiet it honestly makes no noise! Very cool fish tank !!! ... show more

    • A great-looking, self-contained nano tank
The filter and pump built into the back are great and quiet. The flow is strong, so you may need to dampen the force if you have fish who don't like a strong current (easy to do by putting some filter media in the output nozzle). The white lights are bright and plenty strong for plants. I figured the other color options would just be a gimmick, but they've been great for two reasons. 1. Doing color only (for instance light blue or orange light) allows for low-light environments for fish who don't want glaring light all the time. 2. Combining white with a color can accentuate the color of your fish. I have chili rasboras (red fish) and a white+red combo really makes them pop. Only cons so far: - the flow nozzles from the pump are on the same side as the feeding hole. If the flow is strong, it can blast the food around. But its remedied easily and the fish figure it out. - the size is a little unconventional. If you're concerned about fish having enough room (like I am) , it can limit your fish options. But it's a nano tank, so you should be factoring this into any small tank you might buy. ... show more
