This is the second time I have bought this brand. I washed them according to the instructions and they came out perfectly. I did hang them to dry and touched them up with a warm iron. I especially like that they are 52" wide; that seems to give them fullness and they lay better. The biggest selling point for me is that they have a white back. The color is as depicted, and I was fortunate it complemented the color of the room. They are considered blackout, although because of the curtain rod I used, light comes in around the perimeter. This is not an issue for me as I really didn't want blackout, I just liked these curtains. I had originally installed them on a 1.5" wooden curtain rod, but I thought it was too tight a fit. I then put them on a 1" metal rod and I am extremely pleased with the fit. I installed the rod about 6" away from either side of the window frame. I like to open the curtains during the day and I don't want them blocking any part of the glass. The window is small and this lets in the most light. I guess the only negative is that I wish they came in more colors. I would recommend. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised with the performance and look of these curtains. However, they did remind me of good quality bed sheets BUT that look and feel did not turn me off at all because they are thick and very soft. I love that they are the same material front and back. I love that they must be scotch guarded or something because I use them for my patio doors which gets lots of traffic and I'm able to just wipe dirt stains off easily. I installed mine with curtain ring clips making my window treatment look professional and expensive. The only thing that bothered me a little was that in the day time the white looks like a very light bluish/grayish white. But in the evening they look true white. The fact that these are 100% black out keeps me satisfied. Oh and like other reviewers stated, these did arrive wrinkled from the way they were folded and packaged and boy did it take a bit of time to iron/steam but once done all wrinkles were gone and they looked and hung beautifully. What did I like about these curtains? The color and the fact that it has white backing. That is the only thing I like about these curtains. These are the worst curtains I have ever bought in my whole life. I washed a pair of curtains accordingly to the instructions, I dried them thinking that the wrinkles would come out.. no, they didn’t. I steam ironed them, and they still didn’t come out. I even bought a steamer and they still did not come out!! I have holdbacks for my curtains, and they got even more wrinkly from pulling them back! I am beyond disappointed! The fabric is like canvas, so it is pretty stiff. And the description says it is polyester. I bought three pair of them. so I spent $107 on junk curtains. This company ought to be ashamed of themselves for making such a horrible product. If you wanna spend hours on trying to get the wrinkles out or you don’t care about wrinkles and if you like stiff curtains, these would be perfect for you. And yes, of course it blocks out the light. But I like them to look presentable! Very, very disappointed… ... show more

I bought these special curtains for the extras they offered- namely, blackout and temperature control. They deliver 100% in these ways. My reason for the 3 star rating has to do with the less than desirable aesthetic . They look like white tarp material instead of a lovely curtain textile. For this reason I am planning to remove them for different brand of curtain that offers the same features of blackout and temperature control, but is a lovely curtain material. ... show more
