Do you have dogs that chew things they shouldn't? Like your television remote? Thankfully they didn't get to the batteries but find the buttons extra tasty. So we found ourselves in a pickle. Enter this remote. We are very happy. The layout is identical to the one that came with our TV, down to the Netflix button. We find this remote is actually more responsive than the original and has a slightly "course" grip which helps to stop free-fall from the hand. It's very sturdy and set up in seconds. Let's hope the dogs don't like the taste of this one :)

Old remote enter and input button became hard to use. Would push and nothing would happen. Sometimes I would hit them just right and they would work. Bought this remote, came in two days, excited couldn’t wait. Put batteries from the old remote in and nothing. Didn’t work right out of the package. Followed all instructions, nothing. Stayed up till two am messing with this, nothing. did all the setup, pairing etc. Went online looking for codes, nothing worked. woke up this morning, back at it. Same ole thing, nothing. I was watching a movie on the firestick and messing with the remotes. I pulled the batteries out of the firestick for the other remote. I needed to rewind so I put batteries back in the firestick, then put back in the other remote. It became a hassle so I went and opened a package of new batteries. When I put the original batteries in the firestick, a little red light came on and off and now off. I thought, I wonder if that means battery low. I put the new batteries in the new remote, pushed a button and bam, worked. Pushed power, worked, volume. It was bad batteries all along. People, put in new batteries from the beginning.

What a great price for such a good remote. Easy to connect to TV, basically by itself. It’s very light weight, but does the job and has my Netflix button. I definitely would buy again if needed.

Bought this remote end of Aug 2024. By November was having trouble getting many of the buttons to activate when I pushed them. By Christmas the select button in the center wouldn't work at all. Had to buy a new one. Bought a genuine Sony replacement (which is also junk by the way). I know this is Chinese made and all but it should last more than a couple of months. After the current Sony dies I'll be buying the cheapest thing I can find since no matter what I buy it will need to be replaced at least twice a year.

Gvirtue Universal Remote Control for Sony TV The remote for our 10 year old Sony 65" tv died a couple of weeks ago. I picked out THIS remote because the buttons and layout was the closest to our remote that I could find. Put in two AAA batteries in the new remote and it worked immediately!!
