I bought this human grade hemp oil for my dog because she can get antsy when we leave the house and I've heard this can calm them down. I looked into the products for dogs but they say, not for human consumption. So that got me wondering, what's in it that's not safe for me but ok for her. So I thought I'd try this one. I used it myself first before I gave it to the dog. It says the dose is 20 drops so I tried 15 drops. I always start with a lower dose. It did make me tired and drowsy. The next day I have the dog 1 drop in the morning. She's 10 pounds. She slept for 2 hours straight. Which is unusual for her early in the day. So I would say it had a calming effect on her. It does have a calming effect, as intended. Nothing over the top just enough to remain off the edgrle after a long demanding day without resorting to booze. Buuuuut it tastes like feet. In my opinion. My husband says it tastes like "oil" and is "good" so that's his.
