This is one of those tools you don’t realize you need until you have it—and then you won’t want to work on your guitar without it. The cork construction is a big plus. It’s firm enough to support the neck securely, but still soft enough to avoid any scratches or pressure damage. It grips the surface well and doesn’t slide around while you’re restringing, adjusting, or doing general maintenance. The dual-height design is really useful. Depending on the guitar or what part of the neck you’re working on, you can flip it to get a better angle and more comfortable access. It worked great on both electric and acoustic setups. What I appreciate most is the stability—it holds the neck in place without wobble, which makes things like string changes, cleaning, or setup work much easier and safer. It’s also lightweight and compact, so it’s easy to store or toss in a gig bag or tool kit. There’s nothing flashy about it, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and it is versatile. It’s just as all of the positive reviews say, this neck rest does the job very well. Sits nice and flat doesn’t wobble and I found an additional benefit. I had also purchased a quick tuner adapter that fits into my cordless screwdriver for fast string changes. Because I generally like to keep guitar maintenance items together, and I’m prone to losing things I thought of a way to keep both of those items together, and it was easy to do because of the material this block is made from. I simply drilled a small hole at a 45° angle as you’ll see in the picture and stuffed the bit into the hole and it fits firmly and keeps them both together. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's a nice soft cork material and supports the guitar neck and keeps the guitar stable for cleaning, changing strings, or anything else you'd need to do to your guitar. It's not too big and is easy to store in the studio.
