One of the most visually amazing fighting games ever. Not as in-depth as previous entries but still fun. Offers things like story mode that's about 3 or 4 hours and mission modes that are helpful so you can learn to play the game and your character. Worth the money imo.

    • The gameplay is fun
The animations are beautiful and the combat is really intense. The story mode is not playable for it's a really long movie or you can watch it in episodes like Netflix. The mission mode is where you learn the mechanics of the game so make sure you go in their first before jumping online if you want to be successful. ... show more

My son Jessie loves this video game so much. Everyday he wakes up he immediately gets on his gameboy or something to start playing. Right now he is Ky main, but we're hoping that he will grow out of it and advanced character for older children such as a Zato.

The game looks and runs great but is a far cry from the x2 days on PlayStation 2. There are so few characters, no ex modes, very little to unlock. Fighting games these days are all built from the ground up to be sold as a service; it sucks and Arcsys is 100% guilty of doing this to all their fighters.     • You can unlock non-vocal tracks!
I had written a review giving the game 2 stars because I was put off by the soundtrack. It seemed like every fight, every mode had a heavy metal singer growling away. I found it beyond distracting. Since then, I have unlocked many non-vocal tracks to play during matches and has improved my enjoyment of the game immensely. You can unlock music and other items in the game's fishing mode. The developer, Arc System Works, may be the most talented studio making fighting games today. The graphics, character designs and tight gameplay in Guilty Gear Strive lives up to their high standards. You can jump in and have fun right away but there is also a lot of strategy if you decide to dig deeper. The mission mode is a fantastic way to learn the moves and to earn points to unlock music. The game is awesome, but I do think that Granblue Fantasy Versus is a better choice for the solo/offline player due to its excellent RPG mode. The other nitpick I have is that the PS5 version, aside from resolution, doesn’t look better to me than the PS4 version. That’s great news for PS4 players, but not so much for gamers looking for a new generation fighter to take advantage of the PS5’s tech. Still, I am grateful and happy that Arc System Works has given us another Guilty Gear game and this one delivers. ... show more

The product description said it was new. However, the box was resealed and it was slightly damaged. Very disappointed.
