I really wanted to love the Guidecraft See and Store Dress Up Center. The pieces are heavy, solid, and feel very high quality—definitely not flimsy or cheap. Everything about the design suggests it’s built to last, and the materials feel sturdy and well-made. Assembly itself looked straightforward and well thought out. Unfortunately, our unit arrived with a broken part, which stopped us from completing the setup. That was disappointing, especially given the otherwise premium feel of the product. I’ve already reached out to the company and left a message about the issue. I’m hopeful they’ll make it right, because aside from the broken piece, this seems like it would be an excellent dress-up center once fully assembled. I’ll plan to update this review based on how the company responds and resolves the issue. Really wish that these things came better packaged. Update: the seller Guidecraft reached out promptly and offered to send a replacement part. I am updating my rating to reflect the excellent customer service provided by the company and offer to replace the broken part. Unfortunately I already packed the item for return so did not need to follow through on part replacement. ... show more

I searched high and low and read a lot of reviews for children's wardrobes before deciding on this one. It was a great choice! My 3-year old daughter has really taken to this "toy". I am somewhat of a neat freak and her costumes all being shoved in a trunk was driving me crazy. (They were wrinkled and disorganized. In my opinion, those costumes are way too expensive to be shoved in a box.) So I bought this hoping it would take care of that, which it has. But on top of that it has encouraged my little one to hang up her own clothes. She loves that she can put things on hangers and hang it up herself (good practice!). And she has been using the outfits a lot more because she can see all of them (wherease before she was only using the ones on top). She weighs about 30 pounds and has gotten into the "floor" of it to hide behind the clothes; it has not shown any stress from the weight. It's a sturdy piece of furniture. Lastly, the bins in this one are a plus. We put wings and such on the top (odd shapes), wigs and other accessories in the top basket, tiaras in the bottom basket, and shoes on the bottom cubby. It holds a ton!! The mirror is high quality (not wavy like a lot of kid toy mirrors). I purchased the Closet Complete Kids Size Ultra Thin No Slip Velvet Hangers based on somebody else's recommendation in a review. Good choice too. Lastly, I put this together with ZERO tools. It came with an allen wrench and it was all I needed. I was able to put it together while watching a half-hour episode on HGTV. Truly simple. ... show more

THIS IS THE BEST DRESS UP ACCESSORY EVER. BUY IT!!! My kid loves this. We have easily 15 outfits to hang up. This took no time at all to assemble. It’s so sturdy but way easy to move. The boxes that come with it for storage are great. Wish it had a third one for the open spot, but I ended up getting one from Joann fabrics a decorative one to go with and it looks just as cute. I asked and the company doesn’t sell them separately so I couldn’t buy another matching one to go with. But it’s honestly got so much room. It’s perfect. I considered the one with the storage boxes under the hanging part where the clothes go but DONT buy that one. It’s not long enough for the dresses and they will sag. This is designed perfectly and the shoes can go underneath the dresses on bottom. And the accessories get stored on the side and the mirror is just perfect perfect pretty sized! ... show more

Love this dress up storage center! The shelves are great for storing accessories (hats, crowns, shoes, wigs, etc.), and the kids love the mirror on the side. Sturdy and well built. Child height, so it is easy for the kids to access their costumes. However, if you have more than 5-7 puffy princess dresses, you will need something bigger than this. We have quite a few, and they end up on the floor more often than the rack because it is hard for the girls to squeeze them in. Very sturdy! I put it together by myself in about an hour, so not too hard at all to assemble. Mirror works well enough for kids and flower details are so cute. Such a better option than stuffing all the dress up outfits into a toy box where they end up in a wrinkled mess. Plenty of room for her dress up shoes and accessories. I really have nothing bad to say about this dress up center... Besides it was heavy for me to move around, but maybe I'm just a weakling. I love this dress-up wardrobe! My daughter currently has 10 dress-up dresses and we had no where to put them. The dresses easily fit hanging on the wardrobe and I could fit a lot more (If you want air around each dress you could probably fit 12 if you don't mind the dresses touching you could squeeze in 20-30). My 3 year old daughter is in love with her new dress-up station and puts on her dress-up clothes every day now. The mirror can go on either side. There is not an obvious front/back. The side without a mirror does have three little decorative flowers at the top. The yellow storage bin does not look as it does in this picture. It's more of a lime/neon yellowish green. It's hideous. However, I had no intention of using it anyway, as I already had fabric bins from Target. The purple one looks like it does in the picture. The wardrobe was pretty easy to put together . I did it by myself while my husband and kids were at work and school. It would be easier with the help of a second person though. The directions are vague and only show one side, but I was able to figure them out without too much trouble. I will warn you not to over tighten the screws because I did split the wood slightly when I over tightened my last screw. ... show more

This dress-up center is just the right height for kids aged three and older, and it keeps clutter toned down. Assembly was straightforward and took about twenty minutes. Our three year old is just getting into pretend play—her favorites are Frozen and Room On The Broom, so we have an odd mix of accessories.
