It went together well without any modifications. All the parts were there. It was a bear to put up, but we'll do better next time. Once up, I like the height of the front rail, and it's very stable. I wish they would make the rungs of the steps at even intervals. I find myself hunting for a foothold. All in all a great value. ... show more

I was a little hesitant to buy this because of the many poor reviews, but I bought it anyway as my grandpa is getting older and needs a ladder instead of the screw in steps. He’s a pretty big guy (like 300 lbs), and I’m about 150. We fit pretty comfortably in this stand together. A little tight, but not uncomfortable. It was easy to put together, but the paint was peeling right out of the box. Also, the tops of the rails don’t have covers to stop rain from collecting and causing rust. This was the easiest ladder stand I’ve ever assembled. All parts were there and the directions were good - not Google translated from Chinese . Illustrations very good also. Stable and well designed. I bought it for a single hunter to use. May be small for 2 unless a kid with you.

I just got the stand delivered today. First glance, the box was not as beat up as I honestly expected it to be. I opened everything and layed out all parts and hardware. I must have missed it in the item discription, but it came with 2 harness systems and the needed ratchet straps needed which was cool. I thought I had to get my own straps. The ratchet straps it came with would probably be fine but they're a little thin in my opinion. They do what they are supposed to do but I want to use something a little more heavy duty so ill be using my own instead. So far so good. I counted everything and I have all the things the directions say I should. The only problem Iv noticed so far is a few the the stand parts have paint chipping away and exposed metal. Some parts actually have what seems to be rust forming on the inside. Its very minor surface level and can be very easily taken care of. Instructions seem pretty straight forward. Not the best but definitely not the worst. If your used to assembling things, you should be fine. Got this on sale, so for 175$ all the welds look decent and I'm willing to scrape the loose paint off and recoat it in spots to prevent rust. Not really worried about it being pretty. The deer wont care if the stand has some darker spots on it. I will post an update once I have it assembled and set up in the tree, but I'm definitely going to cover the exposed metal spots before doing so. Wasnt alot. Mainly the shooting rail and the backrest bar. 4 stars for now just b/c I have to do some doctoring before assembly. ... show more
