Dude this thing has no right being as stubbornly durable as it is, I'm not kidding when I say I had to pull the pivot arm and sprocket out of the road as it got buried into the oil and chip concrete and there was no damage to the sprocket teeth or bearings from it being ran over, I would recommend a double lock nut to prevent that from happening but the spring is very strong and I have been abusing the poor thing for 2 years now lol. Make sure you use the sprocket that comes with it but there is also a Teflon pulley that they will send with it as well.

Okay sooo i used this on a custom bmx bike build with 110cc engine and OCC Chopper motor mount I purchased everything from this seller and i must say and ill repeat This chain tensioner is a MUST buy the seller is amazing the part got to me the next day after ordering!!! I highly recommend this chain tensioner to anyone serious about motorized bicycles because the quality and strength of both the poly resin roller and the aluminum sprocket chain guide is amazing the quality has seriously surpassed any other chain tensioner I've bought!!!! I don’t quite remember when I bought this because it was for sure a while ago, however on my way back from work, one day, the gear, the bearing and the screw, all disappeared. You know the thing that hooked up to the chain or links with it I guess yeah it was all gone mid turn, which was annoying. And I couldn’t find any of the parts so I need to get a new one and I’m not 100% sure whether I should go for this one or not. I went with it because it had good reviews. It could’ve been a fault on my part. I won’t doubt that, but it was fun while it lasted. Just annoying because I had to make modifications for my mountain bike.

It bent on the first time I tried starting the bike. Although I'm very mechanically inclined and very good at figuring ways that make it things work. I made it work. By using a combination of the supply kit and the original chain tensioner to divide the load between in the middle instead of on the end. I also added a heavier duty spring. Bearings on the tooth gear suck and wore out within a month. But I may have had the chain a little too tight. The supplied roller, which is most likely way too wide to properly fit in the middle of this main sprocket and not hit your bicycle spokes, conveniently offers to spares. Just be careful not the damage then when you're knocking it out and knocking it back in. Now that I loosened the chain up a bit, we'll see how these bearings fair. Horrible design but I managed to make it work.

I have two of these running on two bikes... both work well... however the spring included is a bit thin/weak. I recommend a spring upgrade.
