I bought the 12ft length which works great. The rope is the same I use to teach my gymnastic students so yes it's hard to grip if you are starting out, but that's how you build strength.

It's a high quality product but it's not as good as a real rope. Because it's made of plastic, it slips while climbing. But they are marketing this as a plastic rope, so you are getting what you are paying for. Perfect for my small garage. Long enough to practice climbs and interval holds. Training for the Spartan race so I got this in plenty of time. Now my whole family uses it. I love to make YouTube videos all the time and I love this prop! My only problems were 1 it took a very long time to arrive 2 and it is quite stiff. However I use it with no issues!
